Had the ID.3 a couple of weeks now, not done a lot in it but impressed so far.
More comfortable than the Hyundai and better position for the HUD, which I find really handy when using Satnav but one stand out so far is charging.
As my house is on a loop system it is capped at 3.7 kWh, should be...
Have been there it is very good. Not sure on this but they may be one of the places who supply Gloucester Services on the M5, that and the one at Tebay are the only two motorway service places that do local produce, they are as expensive as the others but the food is good. Tebay is always my...
If you have data on the drive and it is not totally defunct there is a rescue chance.
Download a Linux iso to a bootable USB, Ubuntu would be a good choice. Do not take the install option but use the "Try Ubuntu", it will then run from the USB, so be quite slow but will give the chance to look...
Just watched the ITV show Made in Britain, this episode included a feature on MacSween's the Edinburgh haggis maker, worth watching if it is on catch up TV.
Find the idea of a vegetarian haggis somewhat amusing, although my vegan cousin says they are great. I may try one, their genuine ones...
Along those lines, have always loved Groucho Marx's line: "I would never join a club that would have me as a member."
I used to paraphrase that when asked if I was married, with: "I would never marry a woman who would accept me as a husband."
Not seen anything on it but not my area so will not have read much. What has impressed me about AMD as a Linux user was how quick they were to fix issues. There were a few early on with Ryzen but these were fixed very quickly, my guess is they would be the same with other stuff.
Agree about walking, when I have stuff to write a lot of it is composed when I am enjoying a country walk. Always used to rely on my memory but these days sometimes take a dictaphone with me.
Got another confirmation of my Devon trip through this morning, am really beginning to believe it will...
Given the current state of Intel, an AMD build will not only be better but offer more upgrade possibilities. Even if a bit more expensive it would be worth it.
I only dabble with music for fun but have friends who are serious about it and the love Ardour, it is used by a lot of pros.
Jack and Guitarix are good as well, nice to be able to plug a guitar straight into the PC. That said, one of my mates uses his old Vox AC30 amp for most guitar stuff, it...
Not sure but may be of interest, Cubase and Ableton are Windows/Mac only I believe but there is some great free and open source software about for music production, Ardour is among the best DAWs.
If you dual-boot with Ubuntu Studio that has a low latency kernel which is much better for music...
Would change the Intel drive, they do not last as long. Will leave other changes to those with more knowledge.
I see there is a Beta version of Reaper for Linux. You may want to consider a dual-boot with Ubuntu Studio as that has a low latency kernel which is ideal for music production. There...
Love sourdough and once found a decent simple kit for it, very basic was just a pre-prepared dried yeast mix and some flour but loaf was quite nice.
Bad news is that was a few years back and only found the stuff on sale in Australia.
Shame to see Italy still so poor, it is difficult to see how they can improve, especially with not much of an infrastructure for the game at home.
A few more teams with the chance of two divisions might be a good way to go. At least the side going down would have a season with a chance of...
Another sweet dough today. Mixed some dried Pineapple and Papaya with tinned Lychees (fresh ones much better but wanted the juice) added some Cinnamon then mixed as a normal dough.
Formed into small buns then drizzled Maple syrup over, that went crunchy and made for a great topping.
Have watched a few live streams from the Berliner Philharmoniker, have been good but very strange seeing a full orchestra playing to an empty house.
Luckily the stage there is big enough to allow plenty of socially distanced musicians.
