It sounds like you have carried out all the appropriate actions to remedy any software/configuration faults. I would be looking at hardware now.

Personally I don't think 1g would be enough. Off the top of my head you probably want a 1g blob for the GPU and same again for the CPU. But it really is subjective.
Sooo turning on a laptop whilst the case open is a really bad idea. Firstly it is potentially incredibly dangerous and secondly if you are going to terminally break your laptop this is your best chance of doing it.
That being said perhaps that is coil whine but its pretty hard to tell because...
Right those foamy bits will lift out with the whole of the cooler. They are part of the cooler so don't try to remove them.
You need to disconnect the four connectors pointed to by green arrows. the two small ones at the top are for the fans the larger one at the bottom is for the battery...
Whilst the laptop displays that PCS laptops have are great there is no way they come near the quality of the MacBook Pro screens so if this is a deal breaker you are best looking elsewhere.

Right reinstall Windows again and do nothing except the list of actions @Scott outlined for you. Definitely don't go messing around with regedit. We cant help you fault find if you are changing settings in your system.
I have never seen warning symbols against the CPU in device manager like that. And each time you run Fire Strike it throws warnings about your GPU.
*edit* - What does information box say when you double click on one of the CPU icons with the warning?
