Good point. But I doubt it would last long to be honest. I use mine currently, not always under load, but sometimes, 15 hours per day. I need something that will last for five years. I have doubts that any of the parts will last that long. In which case, I should have saved enough by then to get...
Thanks for the replies.
I'm slightly confused on the PSU. I understand it's for the efficiency, but I have had a Corsair CV 500W for my current system for 5 years (GTX 970, i5 7400 though this was the replacement, runs poorly), and it hasn't failed on me once. The 500W was recommended for it...
It took a while, but I have the money to get this. I spent months researching and looking for better solutions. I ran into one issue. Today I logged in to read through the quote, and the Noctua UH14S wasn't available. That would be the CPU Cooler. It just disappeared. If it is the case that the...
I know. I'm just paranoid about missing something. People say building a PC is like Lego. Apparently not.
This is my first time designing one.
Also, I got a question about PCS's AM4 Motherboards here. Is the BIOS updated? The reason that guy suggested an MSI Motherboard is because it supports...
Tested it. I used Mozilla to test the issue. Same extensions. Same sites. Same problem. I found Mozilla worse for stability due to it crashing a lot when watching streams. So Chrome is my only option. It also eats up CPU. Which is kinda why I wanted the 3900x originally.
That's useful to know, thanks.
Still, very unsure about this build. Someone on r/buildapc is still advising I get 3600Mhz ram, but a 2x16 GB stick instead. And an MSI Motherboard (Due to the updated BIOS).
Just a note: I'm not overclocking. I did it before on my current system. GPU somehow survived a system crash, but the CPU almost didn't. It definitely damaged the CPU, and as a result, reduced the lifespan by 1 year, so no. I'm not overclocking, no matter how much you try to convince me. It will...
@steaky360
This spec (Everything else I've left out for other reasons):
Case
NZXT H511 MID-TOWER GAMING CASE (BLACK)
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Eight Core CPU (3.8GHz-4.7GHz/36MB CACHE/AM4)
Motherboard
ASUS® PRIME B550-PLUS (DDR4, USB 3.2, 6Gb/s) - ARGB Ready!
Memory (RAM)
32GB Corsair...
The storage isn't necessary, already have. I'm reinstalling the OS to the NVME.
The lack of an explanation as to why those parts are changing is why I'm getting confused. I know what things like VRMs are.
If not, I'll ask.
I'm incapable of buying a case and delivering it, I'm such a useless...
I did, and it got a negative response, and it required me to change the entire spec. My question however isn't about my build, it's about the website configuration (Adding a front fan) And there's nowhere else to ask this question.
Can we please stick to the topic?
I'm now looking at a
NZXT H511
which comes with two fans. If that isn't optimal, how do I add a fan? I had a bunch of people say that cases are built for optimal airflow, otherwise they wouldn't be there.
I see. I don't really know then. PC Specialist seems to think all these parts are compatible though. My current case is a Sharktoon T9. It sucks. Drive bays in the way, tiny window.
I had considered a Lian Li for the original build, but kinda scrapped the idea due to height restrictions. I...
My situation:
(File was too large to upload for some reason).
It might have airflow, but it's still trapping air a little. Given the case will most definitely reach the top, it seems like it would touch the top.
Yes, it is leaning out because the power supply cable is in the way.
It's not safe...
Hang on. Just noticed a flaw. Wouldn't air get trapped? Meaning if the AIO was mounted to the top of the case, the air coming from the top will hit the top of my desk? Unless there is a way to configure the AIO to the rear of the case. There's a lack of clarification/configuration options for...
I'm still really unsure about it though. I'd have to use a smaller one for the case I chose. I don't really have the time to deal with a leakage or reapplying thermal paste. I just need something that lasts.
I guess I gotta give up the CPU then. I looked at benchmarks for games, and it is better there. Since they are kinda my primary focus (hard to say what is with the amount of work I do), I'll get the 5800X. I'm not really sure how it performs better? that's kinda where I'm confused.
I switched...
I wasn't refusing. I did say to people I'm autistic, and I can't communicate. I don't understand why people can't understand that. The main reason I posted this was for the case, but I was told to ask about that here for some reason, because I needed people to know the hardware.
I want other...
I failed to explain another thing. The future proofing also means pushing the card to its limits on future games (With CPUs, software), meaning if it can run heavy demanding games in 2025, I can play it at low settings with good FPS. That's mainly why I considered a 3080. With a game like...
Thanks for the suggestions. The Fractal case used to be on there, but it has disappeared from the configuration interface. I was going to get it originally because of the disk drive. I kinda still want a disk drive, since I have a few retro games. I don't trust emulators after the previous one I...
