I would say yes as why buy a high end CPU and skimp on the cooler because if you can afford the I9-13900 and a high end GPU then why not a high end cooler for your CPU as you can afford to splash out on expensive Hardware ?
Hi , has anyone noticed that the 8GB ASUS TUF GAMING GEFORCE RTX 3070 TI is cheaper than the 8GB ASUS ROG STRIX GEFORCE RTX 3070 when configuring a desktop build ? surely if your going to order the ASUS ROG STRIX GEFORCE RTX 3070 you would skip that and just go for the 3070 TI , just wondering...
Many thanks Junior for your input on this it's very much appreciated , i have a tough decision to make on the motherboard choice , but i am leaning more towards the Asus boards as i am already using the Asus Rog Strix Z270-E which is an excellent Board so i may choose the Rog Strix Z690-A , but...
Hi Thanks Junior , I will be installing an Adata XPG Pro 1TB m.2 Nvme drive which i am currently using for game storage , I also have another M.2 Drive the WD 750 500GB which i will also be looking to use , but I am torn between the Gigabyte Elite board and the Asus ROG STRIX Z690 -A Motherboard...
Was thinking of upgrading from my 4-core 1770 CPU along with the RTX 2060 super and going with this .
I am using a 24" 2560x1440 144hz Monitor and i will be mainly using it for gaming and general every day use browsing etc , and i feel i want this to last more than the 5 years i had with my last...
If you wanted , you could always downgrade your M.2 SSD drive from 2TB to 500GB ( you could add another ssd if you wish and keep the 500GB drive for windows only ) and upgrade your monitor to a 4K and be happy with your set-up , also do you really need Norton Anti-Virus as windows itself has 1...

Hi , I am looking to upgrade my current pc which i bought from PC Specialist in 2017 and wonder if its a good time to do so and also to find out if this is a good upgrade or not or am i just wasting my money ?
Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated thanks
I am using a Dell 24" 144hz...
I may be wrong in my thoughts here and if i am wrong here then i apologise , but your posting on PC Specialist forum about other specs outwith PC Specialist themselves and you will find that would be better placed to search and try another source for answers for example Toms Hardware sites as...
You could stretch to the RTX 2060 or the Super version and squeeze another 8GB Ram in , then you should be fine for maybe 1 or 2 years before looking to upgrade to a nice new shiny PC and you could then keep the RTX 2060 / Super for your next build ( i7-7700k will compliment this GPU nicely ) ...
The way i would do this is :
1. Install and only have windows OS on the 500GB drive or even choose 256GB as windows only takes up about 47GB of storage so this leaves plenty of storage should you need it.
2. Have a large enough storage drive to install all your games on and anything else like...
I personally think your still good enough for today's gaming for another 1 or 2 years yet so my advice would be to hang off upgrading just now and start saving for a whole new PC as for upgrade options ... the highest CPU you can get with a Z270 board is the i7-7700k which is still a 4-core...

I would personally save yourself some money from buying that WI-FI/Networking card that you chose to this 1 : WIRELESS INTEL® Wi-Fi 6 AX200 2,400Mbps/5GHz, 300Mbps/2.4GHz PCI-E CARD + BT 5.0 and save yourself a lot of dosh ... don't know if you would really be able to notice any real difference...
