A few unexpected things related to order management.

I placed an urgent order yesterday, then I realised that I actually chose an SSD I should have researched better.

When I tried to amend my order minutes after placing it, to select a different SSD, I get the warning that the delivery address will be changed to invoice address "if this is an express delivery item". Why??? The problem is the invoice address has to be that of my employer's registered UK address and the delivery is to me. I could not make the change and take the risk that the machine goes to an office address with no one accepting it, then me chasing it. I called the help line and they pretty much said: "yeah, it's like that, sorry"

Then this morning I remembered that my previous order came with the air-flow top even though the case had a solid top. The case I chose now also normally comes with a solid top but it also has an air-flow one (mesh/grill whatever). There's nothing that allows me to drop a note to the team building it to say: "hey, please use the solid top and send the mesh one along with the order". So I called the help number and they dropped a note, which I'm hoping will make it to the nice people who are probably working round the clock this close to Christmas.

Finally: why no paypal? PcSpecialist has been around for a while now and this is my third order, so it is reliable etc etc, but I feel uncomfortable putting the card number into a form on your page rather than going through paypal, which frankly gives me more of a peace of mind. No offence, but despite being very careful, I had to cancel a credit card this past summer due to attempted fraud and I'd rather use something that protects me as a customer than hope that you're handling this as well as a whole financial company that specialises in this...

I still see my next desktop order placed via PcSpecialist but for a company that's been around this long, I don't think it is unfair to expect the stuff above :)

Not that you've posted asking for responses but worth noting that few of us here will really be able to provide any feedback on this as we don't work for PCS, if anyone replies just bare that in mind it may be a reasoned opinion rather than objective fact.

If an Admin or PCS Staff member responds they'll usually make that clear and then obviously that's a different story.

Sorry @steaky360 I think this is me being silly. I saw Website (& From feedback/suggestions) and thought that the website bit covers the online shopping experience. If there's a more suitable place for this, I'll take it over there. Maybe I should just delete it, though I don't see that as an option. Please feel free to delete as a moderator if this is off-topic for this forum.

You're definitely in the right place. @steaky360 was just highlighting that the forum isn't a primary source of dialogue with the PCS staff. Admin do pop in and will often check this part of the forum so it's in the right place, the message was simply to highlight that the forum is more often operated and visited by volunteers rather than staff, so any feedback outside of the admin themselves should be taken as more of an opinion.

For any immediate or more urgent concerns then the phone or chat function is the quickest, email is another direct communication channel but can take a little longer to get a response.

Thanks @Scott I will leave it as it then, but maybe send an email as well. I am not really expecting a response, but I thought things won't improve if I don't provide the feedback. so better do that while it is fresh.
Apologies for any confusion I've caused @SerefArikan your feedback is most welcome here and you're absolutely right without any feedback nothing has a chance to be discussed or changed :)

All good @steaky360 , nothing to apologise. First class community and a rare level of civility for internet :) I'm now off to research nvme heatsinks to deal with my hasty choice of an SSD based on its on-paper performance specs...
