Yep, all you'd need additional to accommodate the 3900x is a top end cooler.
Many thanks!

Awesome chip, well worth the additional cost, just incredibly performance for multitasking (literally double Intel's offerings) and single core rivalling the 9900kMany thanks!

Yeah, given the choice it's definitely worthwhile but is quite a bit extra. But long term wise it's worth it.Looks pretty good. I can't help but think a TXm PSU would be more fitting for a build like this but the power will be enough for it at least

I’ve noticed this a few times since we started having issues yesterday, the configurator doesn’t remember changes or sometimes reverts components. I think it’s to do with the intermittent outages were having atmNow that's odd, because the Txm PSU is in my original order so can only think I've selected the above in error. PSU is meant to be CORSAIR 550w TXm Ultra Quiet

What's the budget?Hi again.
Can you recommend a monitor for this build? At least 27inch QHD.
Thanks.
What's the budget?
This is quite a specialist monitor, it's 3840 x 1440 which is 2 x 1440p across the horizontal and 1 x 1440 height, so it's essentially 2 monitors fused together with no bezel. It's slightly higher refresh rate than normal at 75Hz, which may suit some things, although for your uses, not sure it particularly matters. But it's a really high quality IPS panel as well, good blacks and colours. And it's £350! Bit of a stealIf it's an add on to my existing order then anything up to £300.
Otherwise if it's something I'll get at a later date then will pay much more. More keen on the monitor specs to suit the build.

I've done a search and this was the cheapest I found it:
Iiyama 34" Ultrawide QHD IPS FreeSync Monitor Height/Tilt/Swivel Adjustable
Buy from Scan - 34" iiyama XUB3493WQSU-B1 Ultra Wide QHD IPS FreeSync Monitor, 3440x1440, 4ms 400cd/m2 80M:1 DP/HDMI/USB Speakerswww.scan.co.uk
It's on Amazon also if that's more familiar:
It's a very good deal. The most important thing is that it's a lovely form factor for productivity whilst using a high end IPS panel. There are a few competitors at around this price point, but they're using inferior panels so this one stands out amongst the pack. Now this would be my dream monitor and can't believe that price!
Thanks. Am I better sticking to this size to make best use of the spec? Happy to get a 27" or 31" but a 34" at that price is more temping.
There's actually a very similar spec, but I'm not certain it's as high a quality panel

If you think a normal 1440p monitor would be 27" usually, so this is essentially 2 side by side, you'd want 34" really. It may seem big, but you'll appreciate how much better it is for productivity when it's in front of you.
It's damn good value, lovely monitor. I've had a few Iiyama's over the years and they're definitely up there with Dells for quality, far better than samsung IMHO.
No problem, that will be a lovely pairing. Thanks again 😀 so glad I came here for advice!

Thanks.

This one comes very highly recommended, 4k 32", can be mounted, and very high quality QLED panel and good price:
Bout the same price here, but listing as it's got a really good summary of the panel:
