Yep, all you'd need additional to accommodate the 3900x is a top end cooler.

Ok - With the high end cooler and a couple of adjustments - reducing 2nd M.2 SSD to 256GB and removing the RGB from the memory, it works out at £97 extra. What do you think? It is just for Adobe suites software but I'm so tempted to go with the 3900x

Looks good to me, the 3900x is the productivity gold spot for price/performance, it's an insanely good processor.

Looks pretty good. I can't help but think a TXm PSU would be more fitting for a build like this but the power will be enough for it at least :)

Yeah, given the choice it's definitely worthwhile but is quite a bit extra. But long term wise it's worth it.

Now that's odd, because the Txm PSU is in my original order so can only think I've selected the above in error. PSU is meant to be CORSAIR 550w TXm Ultra Quiet
I’ve noticed this a few times since we started having issues yesterday, the configurator doesn’t remember changes or sometimes reverts components. I think it’s to do with the intermittent outages were having atm

If it's an add on to my existing order then anything up to £300.
Otherwise if it's something I'll get at a later date then will pay much more. More keen on the monitor specs to suit the build.
This is quite a specialist monitor, it's 3840 x 1440 which is 2 x 1440p across the horizontal and 1 x 1440 height, so it's essentially 2 monitors fused together with no bezel. It's slightly higher refresh rate than normal at 75Hz, which may suit some things, although for your uses, not sure it particularly matters. But it's a really high quality IPS panel as well, good blacks and colours. And it's £350! Bit of a steal

I've done a search and this was the cheapest I found it:

It's on Amazon also if that's more familiar:

Now this would be my dream monitor and can't believe that price!
Thanks. Am I better sticking to this size to make best use of the spec? Happy to get a 27" or 31" but a 34" at that price is more temping.

There's actually a very similar spec, but I'm not certain it's as high a quality panel

It's a very good deal. The most important thing is that it's a lovely form factor for productivity whilst using a high end IPS panel. There are a few competitors at around this price point, but they're using inferior panels so this one stands out amongst the pack.

If you think a normal 1440p monitor would be 27" usually, so this is essentially 2 side by side, you'd want 34" really. It may seem big, but you'll appreciate how much better it is for productivity when it's in front of you.

It's damn good value, lovely monitor. I've had a few Iiyama's over the years and they're definitely up there with Dells for quality, far better than samsung IMHO.

Thanks again 😀 so glad I came here for advice!

No problem, that will be a lovely pairing.

Hi. I may have to resign to getting a smaller monitor, the dimensions of the 34" are huge and that's after clearing my desk space. Can you recommend anything smaller up to 31.5"? I've seen some BenQ and LG's that are £500+ but I'll just have to up my budget if that's the price bracket they are in. Thanks.

Hi. I'm after a monitor for the build below (listed the key components). Preferably a 31.5 / 32" 4k screen. 34" Ultra wide is going to be too big. Main usage for photoshop and lightroom. Max budget £450.
Thanks.

Sorry about the wait, meant to get back to this and completely lost it.

This one comes very highly recommended, 4k 32", can be mounted, and very high quality QLED panel and good price:

Bout the same price here, but listing as it's got a really good summary of the panel:

Thanks.

Was also having a look at this one by Philips. Bit cheaper but seems to have the same resolution and specs.
Think this would be suitable?
