Advice on specs needed

Hi everyone totally new to PC building tho have tried to research as much as i can and have come up with a build i am happy with and is within my budget. I just looking for any advice on improvements my main worries are will the system remain cool enough and if its future proof enough?

Max budget £3,000 is i can get same performance for less that would be nice but an issues.
The system will be playing games on the best possible settings without ANY issues.
I'm still looking into and open to any advice for a monitor i have another budget of about £1,000.

Main questions are:
1-How future proof is the system i know it an ask but could i get 10 years out of this with next no or zero upgrades?
2-Will the system stay cool enough well playing games and streaming movies? An what sort of maintenance does the cooling system require?
3-Do i need a dedicated sound card or would the one on the motherboard be more than enough?
4-Where do the fans go do they place them in the best config or will i need to request their location an if so whats the best config?

I know some thing like the RAM and the power supply are over the top but its my hope that those not working to their fullest will extend their life an since they not having to work as hard help the system stay cooler but i may be wrong on that i don't know.

Anyway thank you in advance an look forward to any and all advice.

- Changed a motherboard to X570-PLUS. Buying a premium PC but skimping for a motherboard isn't the wisest choice. X570-PLUS can support for M.2 NMVe 4 and also has an active cooling.

- Changed RAM to faster - 3600MHz. Most people are ok with only 16GB, but if you want, can have 32GB too - depending on software and games. Flight Simulator would definitely benefit of having 32GB.

- Storage. You've picked 2 x 2TB SATA SSDs. I've changed to: 1 x M.2 super fast 1TB SSD (this is where your OS would be - it would run fast and smooth as it would benefit of being built in a fast drive), 1 x M.2 same super fast 2TB SSD for your games and things, 1 x SATA SSD for file storage. There's plenty of space to joggle as storage is very personal choice, but need to put a lot of thoughs in to it (at least for me it's a very hard thing to decide :)).

- I would pick an 850W RMx, but currently out of stock so took a semi-modular.

- Changed from one of the best coolers to the best cooler just to be sure your PC will not overheat in heavy load cases.
- Thermal Paste - don't need because the best cooler comes with already a very good pre-applied paste.

- I've dropped PC case fans as they already come together with a PC case I've picked (500D).

- Changed a wifi from slower AC to faster and cheaper AX.

- Dropped Bullguard antivirus as it's knows as making more problems with software. Better use a built-in Windows Defender or get another antivirus.

- Unselected Chrome - it's time to move on and stop using this RAM and privacy cancer. Using Chrome you're not just slowing your PC down as it's very RAM hungry, but also giving all browsing data for free to Google who then use it for advertising and having millions of profit. Microsoft Edge is a very good Chromium based browser.

- Took extended Silver warranty.

- Left Sat delivery before 2PM but I don't think you'll have benefits of it as couriers due to large demand are slower now. A 3080 GPU is pre-order and waiting times are longer (more about in these threads: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/pcs-posts-on-rtx3080-stock-position.75721/ and https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/rtx-3080.73216/page-226).

Recommended monitors are in this thread: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/monitor-recommendations-work-in-progress.71662/

I'd probably choose one of those two below...

Thank you for taking the time to look through the specs and give your advice. Glad to see i wasn't a million miles away an it was only a few changes.

Questions:
1-Does the tempered glass front on the case not effect air flow and cooling as this was the reason i passed over these designs of cases?

2- If the tempered glass doesn't have an effect on airflow would the CORSAIR CRYSTAL SERIES 680X RGB GAMING CASE be better choice as the larger internal space would give better air flow and cooling an it not much more in price or am i missing something?

3- would the ASUS PCE-AX58BT 802.11AX be a better wireless card for gaming?

Thanks for the heads up about Chrome been RAM hungry i never noticed tho might stick with it as most of my stuff is connected through Google but it has given me something to think about and read into before just blindly putting Chrome on there.

The delivery and 3080 GPU issue not really going to be a problem as don't intend to order until December/January so hopefully by this point the GPU might be in stock and i should have a better understanding of things as i want to read up on many things an get a better grasp of them i just wanted to get the build nailed down which with your help looks like it is or at least 99.9% done thank you again for your time.

My take... you will need to buy more fans, but they are out of stock - 5 corsair ones would be ideal (3 on front, 1 on roof and 1 on the rear). Also the RMx psu is out of stock, but that is where to go. Although you could go for a 1000W, but it’s slight overkill.

Thank you for your input an advice i have tried to add other fans tho once i click proceed i am warned i have selected to many fans so i'm guessing the case is maxed on fans with this build. I see you've choose different manufactures for storage couldn't that lead to conflict or is that only a RAM issue also from the research i have done the returns on anything above 3200MHz on RAM is very small is that wrong?

For the build @Ash_ put together, the case comes with 3 front fans then you can put 2 at the top and 1 at the back. The AIO that's been chosen will take up the 2 slots at the top so there's only 1 fan slot left. You could add a rear fan if you wanted to but it's not totally necessary.

Having Storage from different companies won't cause any issues, it's what I'm doing and my PC is perfectly fine (touch wood)! RAM is a different story, if you want to upgrade your RAM, you'll want to either get the exact same RAM, or replace it all if you're not sure what RAM you do have.

Realisitcally the RAM statement is true, so if you're trying to save some money then you could always change down to the 3200 speed. If you're going to be doing any video editing or anything of that sort then you'll find gains with the 3600, but again, 3200 is perfectly fine for gaming.

Different manufacturers of storage won't make any harm as they work independently. Yes, RAM manufacturer (and not just!) is important while for storage it doesn't matter. 3200MHz is minimum recommended for modern AMD CPUs to gain performance. 3600MHz is best.

I think 5000D airflow PC case comes with 2 x 120mm prebuilt fans. There's space for fans in this PC case as per description: 6 x 120mm / 4x 140mm.

AIO cooler Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM is normally being installed in the roof and has 2 x 120mm fans so pre-built 2 x 120mm fans plus AIO 2 x 120mm fans leaves you with space for 2 more 120mm fans. It's 3 in front, 1 rear and 2 roof.

Thank you i knew mixing RAM was a no no but wasn't 100% on storage so that is good to know. An yes i think 3200MHz RAM will probably be what i stick with. I still got soooo much to learn so thanks again

Wow, I didn't see that! Thought you went for the 5000D SE 🙃

I know what a couple of people have done is call PCS and custom request Corsair's LL fans if you wanted to add some RGB to that case as the configurator doesn't let you do it as standard

Ash used 5000D - it comes with 2, not 3 included fans. My suggested build is with 500D which has 3 included fans ;)
Just commenting on it 😂 The names are too damn similar!

True, very easy to make a mistake. Not sure why Corsair did this for us 🤔

Ok so with the newer AMD CPU's 3600MHz is worth it you say if that is the case i'll put them back up thank you.

As for case i like the case you picked tho i am considering the CORSAIR CRYSTAL SERIES 680X RGB GAMING CASE as it only £1 more an my reasoning for the slightly bigger case it to try keep things cooler would like your advice on that.

As Junior explained, 3600 is mostly for heavier tasks. But in your case, where you're actually buying a great PC (I'm just being shy, it's beyond great) with a healthy budget, I see very little reasons to take 3200. I simply think for this budget 3600 would make more sense, but it's really just my opinion.

680X is a superb choice for cooling and cable management. It's not so tall as 500D, but wider, while deep is same. It also has same 3 included fans as 500D. You need to check if you'll have space to accommodate 680X case: 423mm x 344mm x 505mm (Approx H x W x D).

Thank you i have tried to learn what i can myself as i want to get it right the first time but still tons to learn so all your guys help is very welcome so again big big thanks to you all.

An yeah i do like the 680X a lot more an tho i'm not overly worried about tons of RGB i do like the look of the case.

Pcs configurator must be broke. The 5000D can fit a lot more than 6 fans
You're right! Just checked a Corsair website: 10x 120mm or 4x 140mm.

Im not sure exactly what was going on with previous storage drives configured, the volumes and types just seemed to be a case of pick whatever is biggest....rather than would suit purpose.
Unless theres a specific reason for 32GB, I would leave as 16GB on a gaming system. Very very very few games will ever go over that, and tend to be latest release sims like MSFS2020 (which even then, its nice, not compulsory)
The Corsair 500D SE is an -excellent- case.

Most people would point you towards monitors like Samsung G9 with something like this, the GPU would be totally wasted on anything less than 1440p ultrawide, and even then its got more to give.

PS If you want to then add fans, I would buy separately and look at things like ML120, and if you want to go with the 680X case, you can put far more fans in, true, but know that you can actually -reduce- cooling potential. More fans does NOT automatically mean better cooling, it all depends on setup

Yeah that was my first thought fans fans fans but have come to understand that as you say setup is just as important that is why i was liking the 680X more as my thinking is the more room inside the case the better i have plenty of room for the larger case so that not a problem.

Thank you for your advice an help. The 32GB RAM is so the system doesn't have to even work anywhere near its limits in the hopes to extend it's lifespan or is that thinking miles off the actual facts?
