Anyone placed an order lately?

Perhaps waiting for something to come in? or maybe they do Laptops first as technically they are a quicker build/test than PC's, so get them out of the way and then crack on with the desktops whilst they are in test?
 
Ordered a custom PC on the 19th of May, estimated avg delivery time at that stage was 12-14 days. A few days ago that went up to 18-19 days. A few days ago they said my pc was scheduled to be built today, so rang up to get an update and it's not being built until the end of the week. So yea if you're ordering it could take up to a month. Idk anymore.

Probably find not all PCS's fault, as parts for other things I've ordered have been delayed as well, needed a couple new AIO's for my Xeon's, and they took 2 weeks to get to me (I know Xeon stuff is always longer order time, but), the Covid stuff has hurt a lot of the delivery timelines, even still

Alright an update: live chat have just told me according to the queue my PC will start being built on Thursday. Ordered on the 18th May and Pre-Production since the 22nd May for anyone else around these times to get a better understanding :)

I did indeed [emoji23] I don’t get mad about it because there’s nothing I can do about it, apart from just wait :) Id not be happy they just didn’t tell me anything, they’re giving information so I’m fine

I'm assuming mine should be built tomorrow, and stress tested overnight so passed to the despatch team Wednesday. If this is the case can I pay an extra couple hundred quid etc to get it delivered next day (or just ASAP)? Would that generally mean a delivery of Thursday?
Again, rather than setting expectations, just be patient, you really are causing yourself unnecessary problems (and PCS).

Why are you asking for timescales from someone who doesn’t even work for PCS???

You seem to be quite active on the forum so I thought you would be better positioned than most to share knowledge of whether there were options to speed up the delivery. It's quicker to write here than to go on live chat/phone up etc
There is zero you can do but sit back, relax, smoke a peace pipe and contemplate the meaning of the number 42.

Delivery is next day anyway, but DPD have faced delays as they've had to reduce collections and have fewer drivers atm as with most delivery companies.

DPD have been decent with me last week or so, but depends on collections and stuff. Hope mine is here this week, but hey, not a lot I can do about it, just sick of my backup laptop now 😊

Also PC specialist on the phone are FAR more sympathetic on the phone to apologise than people in this thread!
That's because none of us work for PCS and because we've all been through the order-delivery wait ourselves, some of us several times.

I have no doubt that PCS are working as fast as they are able to, they won't be sitting back with their feet up.....

Also, whilst I realise this thread is a sort of safety valve or mutual support tool, it really does no good to post your frustrations on here. Nothing you say here will get your order built any quicker.

Second time ordering from PCS. Like a lot of you here I was getting itchy waiting. Maybe unlike some of you here I understand there is nothing that moaning will achieve.... these are special times.

Thought I should show you this... they are clearly trying their best...

Exactly the same! Boom! Goes to show some of the updates they were giving you were a bit ridiculous though... They apologised lots to me as they previously said on live chat it would be done last Friday - guess live chat and the warehouse don't have the best communication. I think my frustration stems from the lack of official updates/explanations and without this forum I would have presumed my order may have just gone missing. This is my most expensive purchase of my life by far, so was expecting a customer service to match that.
But anyway I don't care now, I'm super glad I'm onto the next stage. Time to fully clean my room to make space for the beast

A bit confused as my email about entering Building came in at 7:24am, didn't know they started until 9am 🤔 😂 You go and make some space! Hopefully dispatched soon :)

Haha damn, I got my email at 7.28am.... so you are still ahead of me in the process! I think @justinio25 has now given us unrealistic hopes of moving to dispatch by tomorrow!
This is something other mods have been trying to point out on here. You can't anticipate your build date by looking at how fast others are progressing. Not all builds are created equal, some builds take longer then others, some sail through Q&A whilst others need tweaking.

We had a conversation earlier about managing expectations, please don't base your expectations on what's happening with other builds. :)
