I'm not saying you're winging, just my little input :)

I found it hard at first, as i always felt it needed raising up slightly more than it is, i was missing alot of keystrokes. I'm totally used to it now though.

My main gripe is with the sharp edges to it - they hurt my hands when im typing for a long time, and with an office job, thats alot! haha

I was'nt saying you where saying I was winging lol you are obviously more used to typing than me I just couldn't get used to it I have to type really slowly on it

I know what you mean with the sharp edges kind of forgot about them now so has your trackpad and case not got any wear on it??

You'll get used to it, i was just typing like i do on my desktop keyboard and found i was missing keys and typing like a retard lol.

Erm, my trackpad is smooth where i use it mostly, as you'd expect. Also, my space bar has smoothed in sections where my thumb constantly lies and hits.

The sharp edges have gone black where i rest my hands all day, just general wear and tear, sped up by constant daily use haha. I do like it though :)

I usually get around such things by just not buying laptops :)

Wow. Thats...

Yeah I wouldn't be buying that based on what you've shown if that's the final product.

The screen I understand there quite thin but on my vortex the body of the laptop is sturdy. The screen takes more preasure to get a reaction from the back too.

Respect for not naming and shaming though.

Wow, yeah that's frankly terrible. As Smoke said - I would not be buying that based on that video. I would be curious to see if anyone else has the same issue??

Hopefully you can direct PCS to that video. Was it like that from Day 1?

I mean... You put £1000 worth of stuff into a rectangle frame - you want something sturdy not a Tupperware box.... :/

In fact, I would wager a Tupperware box might even be the better choice in this instance :/

Wow...that is really really bad. I hope you get it sorted soon mate.

Cheer's for the reply's guys. Bit more reassuring that I'm not making a big deal over nothing. What I didn't mention in the video was the huge wear patch that you can see on the right hand side where my hand rests and how dog awful quality the speakers are. What are the speakers like on your models? the speaker on my phone is better than the two put together on my laptop.

I'm not naming and shaming yet because I will give them another chance to put it right after seeing this. It was never good from the start but it's just been getting worse. As you can see the panel that's breaking away at the back has to be caused from the flexing. You imagine 6 months of picking it up and putting it down with that amount of flex. Sh*t is going to give. What I also didn't put in which I forgot was picking it up in one corner and you can see the whole laptop bend. Do yours do this? Are your models more rigid?

I think some people like myself are gutted when they have spent upwards of 500 + on a laptop, receive it and then know it's not as good as they where expecting. It's a hard pill to swallow and actually do something about it.

I will phone up again later and see what they have to say about it now, As said I have not said a bad thing about the company or the after service yet so it's unto them what happens next i suppose.

Will keep you informed

Make sure you direct them to this thread!

Will do, Cheers for the help guys

I would like to see what 'Corfate' thinks of it, Is yours the same but doesn't bother you (don't mean that in an offensive way, just want your opinion), Is yours better? Just trying to see if it's all of them or just mine.

Yeah i would agree, a lot of form users will recommend and build up specifications for other users, i would personally feel embarrassed if i had recommended that to another person and they received a product of that quality.

How would you go about the situation on the phone? I mean IF they decided to help me out I wouldn't want that laptop back but would it be unreasonable to ask for the processor and hdd and ram and that to be put into the cheaper 15" laptop case (forget what it's called) Just so I can use it properly? Is it even possible to swap out the components like that? obv. ram and hdd but things like processor and that

I think it was quite a reasonable request from you to go past the PCS offices to discuss the matter assuming you live close enough, i think that they should have at least given you an appointment. If your phone calls are going as you say if sounds like from my point of you your hitting a brick wall every time.

If it was me and they refused to discuss the issue i would be going to the citizens advise beuro. I know that we never wasn't to resort to it but I've had to once regarding a car and thing were sorted out.

I know that when i was in sales that the customer had rights for 12 months after buying a product that it must be designed to be fit for purpose, and I've seen people take back white and brown goods after 8 months and get replacements.

I don't know if its different in England i think there are slight variations between the laws.

Im not sure of the technical issues with replacing the case sorry.

Sorry i cant be more help.

Just got off the phone with member of the sales team and they have said they will take a look at the video and get back to me by email today so fingers crossed it's going to get sorted.

Will update when they do.

Christ, that is bad - it's like it's made of paper haha.

I just did a quick video of mine (Don't laugh at my poor video skills and crappy quality - was quickly done on my phone!)

I had to press and twist hard to make it bend out of shape, nowhere near as bad as yours!

Many Thanks for putting that video up bud, really!!

I will keep my opinions to myself and let others say what they think about yours.

*Looks at what seems to be scratches around what could be the headphone jacks...like an alcoholic's front door :D *

(Was going to make a crass joke about holes, Cor and getting it in, but just couldn't make it work...ironically...)
