I just got an update e-mail saying my order is preeped for production but they are waiting for the Clevo P650RE6 stock. It is still due on the 27th so fingers crossed they come in.

How regularly do you guys get email updates? Do you contact PCS and they respond? I ask as I'm (only) on my 5th working day of pre-production, and am wondering if something was delayed how long it'd be before they let me know.

When you are in pre-production you are basically just in the queue for your machine to be built, so unless there is an issue and something is out-of-stock you won't get any updates (apart from an automated email after 7 days I think) until it goes into build, noting that once in the building stage it generally only takes a day or two to get it dispatched.
So it's not surprising you haven't heard anything since you are basically just sat in a queue at the moment.

Yeah, I figured as much and appreciate the system. I just thought that perhaps if there is a queue, and people at the front of the queue are experiencing delays due to shortages, those shortages will also mean delays for people near the back, so it wouldn't take much to say "You're currently in the queue and there's currently a 2 week delay for parts" or similar. But hey ho, can't complain when I can't come close to finding a similar spec at the price I'm paying!

They informed me about the delay at 14th or 15th working day I believe. I guess that was the time they would build the machine if all parts were in stock, so your update might come sooner or later depending on the current queue (if my assumption is correct).

I'm still in pre-production and I've been getting production updates every 2 days that tell me when my build will start. My latest update said "Clevo P650RG (8GB GTX-980M, i7-6700HQ) - Stock is on order with an ETA of 03-12-2015.".

Just put my order in last night and has gone into processing stage at 6am this morning. Hopefully it'll get built and sent to me before I head back home from uni else I won't be able to collect it till after christmas!

I just phoned and cancelled my order (found something that has a cashback deal and makes it about £300 cheaper than my order, slightly lower spec but I felt the £300 saving was more important!), so someone will probably being bumped up in the queue.

Just received an e-mail saying mine has been built and is waiting testing and configuration. A pleasant surprise as I got an e-mail on Friday saying the chassis (Clevo P650RE6 (6GB GTX-970M, i7-6700HQ) was still out of stock and not expected till Friday 4th. Hopefully it will be with me by this time next week.:taz:

My 15" 980M + 6700HQ Defiance is on its 4th working day, in pre-production, current estimated build date 11th December (which would be exactly two weeks after the order was placed). If the estimate ends up accurate I will consider that very reasonable, especially considering it's Christmas season. I expect it to slip at least some though.

I ordered a 15" 980M + 6700HQ on the 14th Nov. It was originally given an estimate of 22nd Dec but this then came forward to the stock being delivered on 3rd December. I just got an email that the stock ETA has slipped to the 14th now which sucks.

Anyone else get a similar delay or just me??

I've just had the same thing happen to me, Bit annoyed really.

I had accepted the 14th originally and was ok with it but to bring the date nearly two weeks early and then on the day push it back is messing us around a bit.

I was hoping to wake up today and see that mine had moved on to being built.

I'm in my 11th working day now :-(

15th working day for me. This is just what happens when you order custom builds. It will take time but it will be worth the wait. I'm really hoping no more delays though.
