How dare you. There was never anything more exciting than hearing that minutes worth of weird beeps and static until it finally connected, or didn't and then you had to spend 2 days troubleshooting. And then loading a page with one bitmap image of a stickman would take 5 minutes.


It was pure joy... NOT!

What was the max download speed of dial-up? I think I remember 512Kb/sec, but it was a long time ago.

We didn't even have CD's back then, so games, and other programs, were on floppy discs (plural). 1.44MB per disc.
MS DOS 6.2 was on 3 floppies, Windows 3.1 was on 6. I've still got the floppies, found them while rearranging everything to my new desk :ROFLMAO:

@SimonPeters116 Which physical size floppy 5.25" or 3.5", if the former are we talking single or double sided
