any point in going to 64 gb ram... I am thinking of the Flight Sim and large amounts of data/.////You can drop the extra thermal paste, the Corsair coolers come pre-applied with one of equal quality.
You’d also be better off with 2X16GB 3200MHz RAM. It works better as a single pair and as @Scott recently educated me, due to CAS latency, there’s no discernible difference between the 3200MHz and the 3600MHz (he can give a more technical explanation if you need it 😀)
Personally, I’d start out with 32GB and see how I got on. If I was seeing anything in my stats to indicate that more was required I’d buy an extra two sticks and slot them in myself.any point in going to 64 gb ram... I am thinking of the Flight Sim and large amounts of data/.////
The system is on 24/7 and the RAM I agree but at the costs it not a factor and it is no burden to have and you never know 2-3 years down the road I may be delighted to use it I also wanted to mess about with ramdisks, also configure so that I can have many games and I only get short periods to play so I would like them lodaed so I can just dive in , video editing and also I have maybe 20-30 browser tabs over 3 browsers.... I believe that FS2020 is a bit of a ram hog and as well as many excell documents open so overall its a "no brainer "for me to go bigger. You really don't need 64Gb RAM, 32Gb will be more than enough. The rest will just never be used.
Why windows pro?
