Where abouts is the ram now then? If yodel have it could you not pick it up yourself?

As far as I'm aware the RAM is at loughborough service center (15-20 miles from me)

I can't pick it up unfortunately as I don't have a car. Although there is a Yodel depot (or office, van center or something) 1 minute from where I work, god knows why it wasn't despatched to there.

yeah should be dude. I know its frustrating when you have problems like this, but sometimes problems occur, but in my view pcs have done alot to solve the issue, including ordering from taiwan.

I had a issue not so long ago with overclockers.co.uk, a bunch of cowboys if you ask me. they sent me a faulty fan controller, ignored my requests to RMA it multiple times, I had to complain about 3 times using their naf webnote system. to cut a long story short i got my money back, but they still owe about 7 quid, doubt i will see that again, and I will never order from them again.

That sucks. I got my 2 monitors for my PCS computer from OCUK, never had a problem with delivery or the product themselves. And in the past I got my previous machine through them, never had any problems with it til the PSU died a few years later. I RMA'd that directly with manufacturer though I think and it was replaced quite quickly.

But no I do agree that from what I've been told and PCS's current reaction to the situation now, they are/have done a lot for me.. Just not advised me what what's been going on. I know a lot of people think i've over reacted to this, but on the same time PCS under acted in telling me know what's going on. But ah well. Think i'ma stop posting in this thread though as i'm kinda repeating myself/spamming lol. Will update tomorrow with what happens!

Hey man, I looked at your blog, sorry to hear about your troubles through all of this.

I'm a business owner and I know that in every business, service isn't always going to be 100% perfect.. It seems that you have been so unlucky, and I can understand how annoyed you are now. I dread to think how other companies I have dealt with would of dealt with problems like this.

I think it's good you are putting your word through, any customer feedback is great, both good and bad. I'm sure you have put that word across and it's good to spread the word along.

The Courier found my work place today, the main issue was that my mobile number was incorrect on the packaging we established. (I just checked my account details and it has the right number on there)

All resolved you'd think?

No. The 2 sticks of RAM which arrived were no longer in their box, and one of them was bent to a 90 degree angle.

I wish I took a picture now to show you how much damage was done.

And so the wait begins again...

On the plus side PCS have sent me a free game voucher for Arkham City..

I'm still not sure who to blame? Maybe I should of made a yodelsucks.co.uk site as well lol.

I HIGHLY doubt PCS are going to send out RAM that is bent at 90 degrees... They're going to want to get it sorted, not mess you round ;) I think that may have been Yodel's fault.. :(

Lol yeah sorry, I wasn't implying they did send out broken RAM. Just one of those things, if it was delivered on friday it might not have been damaged and that was due to lack of information on the package according to Yodel.

Just a lot of what if's i know but it's hard not to try and narrow down who's to blame. *sigh*

Haha, i was just making sure to say that they wouldn't be so blind ;)

Hmm, i can understand how you are angry/upset, but it'll get sorted :)

"NNNNOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo" are you sure you haven't got some sort of evil nemesis who you wronged in a previous life and who now works for Yodel ? you could probably get hold of them here : MHWHaHaHaHa @ Yodel.com

You should defo take a photo of the ram? Was the packaging damaged at all? Was the packaging still sealed?

I didn't accept delivery of it (so can't take pictures anymore) but the bag the box was in was sealed, but the box was torn open/ripped. So weird :/

PCS are getting me my new-new-new RAM special delivered tomorrow.. fingers crossed, if it's damaged again i'll take pictures!

So then. Just recieved my PC back as it had to go back to PCS due to the 2nd lot of RAM not working either. after 5-6 days I get my PC back thanks to an amazing Yodel driver, only to find 4gb out of 8gb of RAM still only bring detected, and the additional G-Skill fan not being installed either, sigh.

I'm sure it's probably just a few BIOS tweaks which are needed, but if these aren't setup correctly on me receiving it, i don't have much faith in any intensive testing being done. Ah well... to wait again for tomorrow to ring up PCS.

Hi Ben, just tried to give you a quick call on your mobile.

The system was tested with no fault found, do you want to give the RAM a quick reseat so we can try and get this resolved as we literally couldn't find a fault with any of it when it came back. Everything was detected and everything works.

We couldn't fit the cooler for your RAM as it blocked out the USB header.

Hi Jack, okay I reseated the RAM again, still only 4gb detected. In the BIOS X.M.P isn't selected, it's set to AUTO. I know they thought this was the issue last time but i've not changed it back to X.M.P yet.

What testing was done? Could i see the engineers report? If the testing was to see if the PC turns on, I could replicate that before.. with both sets of RAM.

Does that mean when both sticks of RAM are actually functional, it'll be more unstable due to this? Wouldn't it of been wiser to offer me the chance to change my RAM if the provided cooling doesn't fit? :S

And finally sorry I didn't answer my phone, I don't answer Unknown numbers from calls i'm not expecting.
