Whether it has been declared a profanity or not, it's a judgement call by the moderators as to whether we think we should allow it or not, if you don't agree with our judgement calls, well, tough, we do our best to keep the forums friendly and family-friendly! :)

I think it's irrelevant that it was declared not a profanity (and I'm not trying to say that's because the 'US' declared it not a profanity) but rather the phrase probably should be avoided in polite company. At least, that would be my opinion :), it's certainly not perceived to be as bad/offensive/unpleasant as some other phrases however.

I've started not wearing my earphones on buses anymore...the conversations Im hearing...

Other day a fella was sat near me, shirt, tie, trousers. Smart looking chap, late 30s. Anyway, he was on his phone, swearing like a trooper...it was all coming out, F's, C's the lot. I thought to myself, ah well, he's probably chatting to a mate...bit further in, he starts saying "get yourself a nice bath, it'll help...", so I think, oh, maybe his mrs then but still a bit suprised at the language. Right at the end of the call...."Ok mum, see you saturday"....

Mental.

Getting myself tucked into the slipsteam of this debate, nothing wrong with swearing, time and a place is all. I honestly don't get why BH was ever considered a profanity though...taking Hells name in vain? Beelzebub must be livid...

That's what the case discussed, it turns out that the phrase has never actually been a profanity, it's a statement of surprise and always has been, it just seesm over time to have been added to the list of profanities by the more prudish people.

What is this you speak of?

W makes you go forwards
S makes you go backwards (though this is rarely used of course)
A makes you go left
D makes you go right

Spacey button makes you jump/climb
Leftie Ctrl makes you crouch

Leftie mouse button attacks
Rightie mouse button does something that I can't remember and can't be bothered to look up (but it does something)

etc etc


Not sure what this "controller support" is that you speak of...

:D

I don't like k&m controls for third person games. FPS yeah, but for third person I like a controller.
