The click you’re hearing might suggest a cut out on the PSU, so yes, that’s a good first place to try, fingers crossed! So just got off the phone and there sending me a new psu to try as it's semi modular and fairly easy to swap. Try that tomorrow and if no joy then might be motherboard.
I’d hold the plug and just check the unit they give you in case it doesn’t have one, I would expect the power lead not to be included with the new one.Just another quick question. The courier will need the old psu, so that's the unit and leads coming out. Should I hand over the plug as well do you think? I'd hate for them to refuse it because I've not got everything.
Do they come with power chords? I thought that was a separate option on the configurator, maybe I’m getting mixed up with laptops.Would they not send out the new PSU in the original packaging etc (ie unopened from the manufacturer)? As then it would come with the power cord etc? Or do they just send out the PSU itself but without extra leads etc?
Oh that's good news!So after a very early courier delivery I've installed the new psu and it's working again! Thanks again all!
Interestingly the courier had no idea what was expected back! I handed it over as the new psu was boxed and sealed and comes with one.Oh that's good news!
Did PCS want the kettle lead back???
You should have handed him an orange and said it wasn’t powering on!Interestingly the courier had no idea what was expected back! I handed it over as the new psu was boxed and sealed and comes with one.
Maybe it ran out of juice!?You should have handed him an orange and said it wasn’t powering on!
