unless you have a really high quality sound system you wont notice the difference most modern onboard sound offers decent 5.1 surround sound by either 3.5mm jacks or spdif(optical).
I'd recommend dropping the Seagate and putting a SSD drive in there, use the Caviar hdd for data store etc, or perhaps use the Caviar and SSD cache drive. But the Seagate plus Caviar is a waste of time otherwise.
*EDIT* didn't realise this was 3 pages xD anyhows trust me shadow, i listened to these guys, the ssd is definately worth it
lol finally my final (hopefully lol) updated specs, iv come to the decision of keeping this sound card aswell:
*Edit* when i have two hard drives dont i need to install the os on both of them, i dont have good knowledge on computers unfortunately so i dont get how the process works for the second hard drive and how i get it to work etc*
looks like a very nice build, i also have the 1200w corsair gold psu its a very nice psu just you might have to find a cupboard somewhere to put all the extra cables theres alot of them.
That spec looks ace! For the OS, it only gets installed on one drive, in that case, it would be the SSD. You are then free to put everything else on the other drive. You should put the OS, boot programs and your most commonly used programs on the SSD. All other stuff should be put on the HDD. Hope that makes sense!
Ooo is it like how the SSD drive is the 'Local Disk (C' and the 2TB drive would be something like '(D? i think i finally understand now thanks, and no problem mate btw how do yo add that part at bottom when you write stuff is it the signature??
*Edit* dont worry about the signature part done it now , 'C:'*, 'D:'*, its automatically added the smileys lol ohh well, btw when i buy it do pcs send the computer already built with all the components fitted in or do i have to manually fit the components in??
everything will be fitted there may be some foam inside the case to remove and you might have to connect the side fan but there should be a leaflet with your pc with instructons, other than that its a matter of plugging the screen in and you peripherals as well as any network cables or speakers. Turn the pc on active windows as well as download and install any updates for you os and your ready to do what you want.
PCS will fit in all components (lol, do you really think they will do a half job for that amount of money spent!) Both those drives are local disks as they are 'local' or in the pc. The SSD will be C and the Caviar black D.
hello, want to check with you lot again if these specs would suit my needs for high end gaming, video editing, photo editing, also i like to download loads of movies and song aswell (budget cannot go higher, overclocking may also be a possibility for me in the future):
is that the truth? :O thats absolutely rubbish, well i wont be changing on that then, also for the cpu cooler shall i upgr ade it to a liquid cooler or would that be a bad idea?
hmm yeah il stick with the air one, as iv heard problems that can occur with liquid cooling aha and hmm for the while il stick with radeon one but hopefully when nvidia release their new graphics card il get one then
It is a good spec but i would really go for a caviar black as a second drive as you will not get all your games on the SSD and will probably have to put some on there so load times will be pretty slow if you stick with the green drive.
