Hey @SpyderTracks do you have one of these to play your older vinyl on😂

Not as yet, but jokes aside these are becoming seriously collectible as they're becoming harder and harder to find in good condition.

I want to find a good one just as a piece in my front room.

I think the whole technology behind record playback was so so far ahead of it's time, it's really quite incredible what they were able to achieve at such minute manufacturing detail as far back as early 20th Century.

Those Victorians were damn clever people.

Couple of goodies through today.

Azotti Presents White Star - MCMLXXXV
This is a Ukranian producer who is putting all proceeds towards Family's in need in Ukraine. And both Record Republic (distributor) and Magik Muzik (label) are doing the same. And it's great music as well, absolute kudos to the guy

DJ Koze - Amygdala
Not aware of this one, it's the 10th anniversary reissue, but supposed to be one of those must have albums.

I actually got a message through from Azotti last night on Discogs as I'd amended the listing and he gave me pointers on getting it correct.

He wrote this which teared me up a little. I never feel there's enough I can do to help out without taking a sabatical and going out there and being on the ground, which is something I don't have the courage or resources to do.

"
•Interesting facts abou MCMLXXXV•
The design of the vinyl cover i made personally, because I don’t have the money for the designer.
This LP highlights the new lead track from my B-side Azotti project “WHITE STAR”, the track and album title ‘MCMLXXXV’ is the year of my birth in Latin - 1985.
On the back-side, I wrote the words of thanks to everyone who influenced the creation of this Album. And some Ukrainian national symbols, so this LP also have a sacred meaning.
This Vinyl was at risk of not being released because I could have been killed at least 4 times, the war forced me to act."

Another important one.

Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique 30th Anniversary Remaster. Supposed to be the best sounding to date, and an awesome quad fold cover

I have to post a picture of the cover opened completely, it's pretty cool

Some more exciting ones

C&C Music Factory - Gonna Make You Sweat, great discogs seller sold me this, turns out he's shifting his whole collection of around 36,000 records (purely personal collection, not a shop or anything). This thing is stone cold mint, absolutely perfectly looked after, so I've arranged with him that I'll be following up and maybe bulk buying some of his records.

Deep Forest III - Comparsa. First time on vinyl, their 3rd record, encompassed more tribal sounds from South America, Caribbean, and Madagascan regions. So excited for this, I adore Deep Forest

All Saints - Never Ever. I have this on limited edition promo, but it's not the greatest copy, so got this which is NM.

A great one today!

This is an absolute gem of an album, 90's heyday, most of their stuff is too heavy for me, but this album and Land Of Rape And Honey are high on my list

Ministry – ΚΕΦΑΛΗΞΘ (Otherwise known as Psalm 69)

Turns out this copy is cut by Chris Bellman who is one of the great mastering engineers.

This is the album with the now famous "Jesus Built My Hotrod" which as you can imagine caused quite a stir at the time

Nice find! Industrial metal has always been a bit impenetrable for me, Rammstein is as about as close as I could handle. But that’s a cracking pressing to have in the collection 👍👍👍

I'm absolutely disgusted with this latest picture! Who gave you permission to wear a pair of trainers? i'm going to put in a complaint about the thread title being false advertising....where's the toe, never mind the added one? ;)
It is my feet, honest... I'd just returned from a quick walk in the South Pole.

I always get nerdy when I see an Analogue Productions shipping box!

The Beach Boys – Pet Sounds (The Analogue Productions 2 x 45rpm Mono)

Mark Barrott – 蒸発 = Jōhatsu

Couple of greats

The rather wonderful: The Beatles: Revolver 50th Anniversary remaster box set

John Lee Hooker: Burnin' 60th Anniversary Remaster (by Craft who can often be too analytical for my tastes, almost sound digital like a CD, but their represses over the last year or so have all been excellent)

Mate… those two records are bang up my street. I heard the new mix of Taxman recently and would love to do a side by side with the original on quality vinyl. I miss my turntable, may she rest in peace.

How is your journey into the world of the blues going? You’ve picked a great record, I love a bit of JLH.

The Blues Train is still a work in progress, they're coming in bit by bit but I really need to concentrate on it some more.

I've got to get some Blur reissues and the Let It Be remastered box set and then I should be able to spend some resources on blues for a while. There are quite a few I need to pick up, really looking forward to it.

I still haven't played my primarily Brazilian original Beatles but you're right, now's the time to compare the Giles Martins.

Would love your perspective on the new remasters Vs originals if you get the chance.

You just made me imagine Ringo with a Brazilian, you swine 😑

Absolutely, as if I ever need an excuse to listen to more Beatles! I’ll be listening digitally, but I’ll put my AKG headphones on so I can get the best audio saturation. Let me know what bits you wish to discuss and I’ll share my two cents 👍

2 great ones

Biggie Smalls (as he will always be to me) - Ready To Die, this is the Vinyl Me Please splatter vinyl remaster which is widely regarded as the best)

Cinematic Orchestra - Every Day 20th Anniversary Remaster, also has a few new tracks on there

I wonder if @SpyderTracks has any of these in his collection😁👍
Unfortunately not. My Mum was into the Beatles, and I have a fair few originals but they're pretty beaten up. But not the Please Please Me.

My Dad had a very old fashioned taste and was more into classical and spanish guitar music, but he was never really a music person.

But to collect originals these days you need some serious cash, unless you're incredibly lucky and find one in a boot sale or something.

If you look at my most valuable records, they're all records from this millenium.
