Standard Ryzen CPU Cooling

It's a different Corsair case :)
Ah OK thanks I see that now.

Its huge by comparison so won’t work. And it’s also more than twice the price of the 220T so I could probably stretch my budget to that if I gave up my CPU entirely! 😀

I might move my Q to a new thread to better catch the attention of anyone who has the case already - assuming that’s acceptable forum decorum!

Just keep in the same thread if possible, it's important people can see a history of advice to avoid duplicating things.

OK no worries will do SpyderTracks. 👍

So to be clear I really just want to know if it’s possible to properly control the case fans on the 220T with a B550 mobo installed.

That case fits budget and size needs perfectly (the size on PCS is misquoted btw as it is actually 395mm Depth not Height) so alternative cases that are bigger or pricier aren’t of interest to this specific question. Yet!

I’ve got the iCue 220T. Great for if you’re not able to accommodate a hulking brute of a case on your desk. Fans at the front are controllable via ASUS Fan Xpert 👍

Hoorah! Thanks so much AgentCooper!

Out of interest would it arrive from PCS connected correctly for everything to be controllable or will I need to get any bits/do some install work post delivery?

EDIT - I guess I mean did PCS install the fan control leads into the mobo or into Corsairs own little RGB yoke instead....?

They should attach everything you’ll need and put iCue on there, it’ll just be the Fan Xpert software you’ll require downloading.

If it’s connected up the same way as mine has been, the RGB on the case fans is controllable via iCue, it just seems to be the actual fan speeds that don’t work from that.

Thanks so much for the help AgentC. Much appreciated. 👍👍

No problemo 🙂👍
Actually - just one more question if you don't mind....

I'm getting two additional case fans - just the standard cheap black yokes - will I be able to control those also or will all the fans need to be the same model (all Corsair SP120's)?

Now that one I can’t be 100% on. But in theory, as long as it’s going into the appropriate fan header on the motherboard you should be able to control them via the software.

Personally... I wouldn’t get the cheapo fans, why not pay a bit extra for one of the SP fans and fit it yourself? It’s a quick and easy job to do and you could bathe in the light of even more glorious RGB 🤩

Just make sure all the rgb cables are managed nicely out the way ;) :ROFLMAO:

I'm not a huge fan of the whole RGB scene - although some gentle lighting would be nice I guess!!

I don't see the SP120's on PCS so I'll have a look around and grab a couple myself as you suggest. Bravo Mr AgentC!

You don’t have to have a full light show going on. I’ve currently got mine set to a nice orange shade which casts a warming glow across the desk 👍

You're right of course - I think I just have all those YouTube videos of desktop laser light displays burned in my retinas at this stage!

220T ordered now - damn that bloody Amend button anyway! Muchos Thankios Sir Cooper!
