Yep it definitely catches a few people out, that first ‘100 yds’.My brake discs have completely rusted over as haven't used the car for about 3 weeks now. It's just a surface corrosion which I'm sure will shed with a bit of braking, but I took it out for a tiny run the other day just to the local delivery office and the brakes were definitely compromised.
Just a word of warning, may be worth taking it easy initially until the brakes are back up to speed if there are others not using the car regularly.
Yeah I have a VW T5 shuttle for the weekends. 2.5TDI but is quick in first and second.Mercedes Vito - It's a Van, Car, People Carrier all in one. I didn't like the thought of it when I first got it, but I've grown to really enjoy driving it.
The thing can shift too low or high gears and can surprise quite a few people off the lights.
Great for the kids, dogs and carrying a load of stuff around.
I had a Sunny for about 6 months, great car! Reliable as anything until I blew up the engine in superb style. All these cars put my car history to shame...I owned cars from 1996 till 2016 and, in that time, I owned:
A 1983 Ford Fiesta 1.1l bought in 1996
A 1987 Metro 1.0l bought in 1999
A 1993 Nissan Sunny bought in 2000
A 2001 Fiat Punto 1.0l bought in 2010
Although the Sunny was an excellent car and was reliable for the 10 years I owned it (well, asides from the rust!!). Did drive a Ford Mondeo rental car once for a week!
it's the Toyota C-HR 2017 model 1.8 petrol/hybrid as i think hybrid is the way to go, especially self charging ones like this, as no need to find somewhere to plug inIs that the new Yaris Cross?
Hybrid or Full EV?
A guy at work just picked one of these up, he absolutely raves about it.it's the Toyota C-HR 2017 model 1.8 petrol/hybrid as i think hybrid is the way to go, especially self charging ones like this, as no need to find somewhere to plug in
