What are you driving at the moment?

it's the Toyota C-HR 2017 model 1.8 petrol/hybrid as i think hybrid is the way to go, especially self charging ones like this, as no need to find somewhere to plug in
LOL - I've chosen to go full EV :). Supposed to be built week of 22nd February, but its already late from earlier quoted dates:

Know a couple of people with Volvos and they rate their customer services very highly.

SAAB used to be one of the best before GM destroyed them. I had a leased Vauxhall as a company car and the service was awful so decided to buy my own, a SAAB, when the new design 93 came out.

One problem was the company lease ended in September before the SAAB was going to be ready. Guy at SAAB said providing I committed to buying they would sort something. A £500 deposit later and I had a two year old 93 to use until my new 93 Aero was ready.

Like all new ranges there are teething troubles and mine was going to be the last out but SAAB were ok with it, even though it was March the following year when I got the car.

At one stage my courtesy car was due for a service and they even gave me a second courtesy car while it was in dock.

Was very sad to see SAAB go under and will never have a GM vehicle.

All these cars put my car history to shame...I owned cars from 1996 till 2016 and, in that time, I owned:

A 1983 Ford Fiesta 1.1l bought in 1996
A 1987 Metro 1.0l bought in 1999
A 1993 Nissan Sunny bought in 2000
A 2001 Fiat Punto 1.0l bought in 2010

Although the Sunny was an excellent car and was reliable for the 10 years I owned it (well, asides from the rust!!). Did drive a Ford Mondeo rental car once for a week!
I think most people have started out at the budget end...and some people make it a hobby.

My history starts in 1994 and goes:
  • 1986 Austin Metro (for about a year)
  • 1988 VW Polo GT (for about a year)
  • 1991 VW Polo GT40 (for about a year)
  • 1994 VW Corrado VR6 (for about 5 years)
  • 1992 BMW 3.6 M5 (for about 2 years)
  • 1994 BMW 3.8 M5 (for about 8 years)
  • 2006 BMW Z4MC (bought 2008, current weekend/fun/track car on 160,000 miles)
  • 2003 Alfa 147JTD (for about a year)
  • 2006 Alfa 147JTDm (for about a year)
  • 2004 BMW 330D Touring (for about a year)
  • 2015 BMW 320D Touring (bought 2021, current daily driver)

That looks alot of fun in fairness.

So is it a company vehicle?
TBH those photos were taken about 6 years ago. We reckoned at the time that it was probably worth a fortune in the right auction. It was in the middle of nowhere up a very rugged track. We'd never seen it in previous years on that walk and we've never seen it since. Hopefully somebody is lovingly restoring it....

Godlike
At the moment I am driving my Nissan Navara Tekna.

The most cursed vehicle I have ever owned.
Get it out of the body shop on the Monday curtesy of my better half reversing it into the house. I promptly decided to plow it through some security fencing at work in the snow on the Thursday.

Straight back into the body shop.
