i think in this thread both myself and gorman have apologised, and i can assure you that you would be kept informed. I would hope that the help you have received this evening (now nearing 10pm) would be proof enough of that.

i wasn't informed of how it was getting on at all while it was sent back to you lot i had to ring up to find out myself and i even had to arrange the delivery date which was then done wrong and i then had to ring back to get it sorted properly on my mobile at work because the person in your offices cant get things correct .

i dont want a apology over the forums i want a sincere apology over the phone anyone can write i'm sorry for the inconvenience on a screen. i'm trying to not say i haven't appreciated the help gorman has given me but i'm just too annoyed atm about the whole situation. i thank him now and as i have done for his help i even asked them to thank him on the phone when i had to ring up last time and i bet they didn't because apparently i couldn't talk to the people doing the testing and sorting out the problems.

as for the (now nearing 10pm)??? i work till 10 pm at night sometimes even later i'm available from 8 am in the morning sometimes evening working from 8 am till 10 pm i dont see how this is anything special?

Its easy to blame people. It is much more likely that mis-communication was the reason why some of these issues occured, and at the end of the day we all make mistakes. Upto this point we have at the drop of a hat done everything we can to correct the hardware fault with your pc. This was done, and unfortunately due to dhl this work has been undone. We will however put it right if you want us to.

My guess is they are not both 'on the clock' at the moment. So if they are not getting paid, then that IS something special.

You are correct Pokerface. I am at home at the moment, trying my best to sort out this issue in my owntime (not getting paid), but it seems that i am wasting my breath.

i want a pc i cant turn on and get straight to my gaming i dont want to have to install anything other than my games and so far that hasn't been the case there has always been something wrong since i have received it. also i dont want to have to wait over a week to get the pc back it takes 2 days to get there a day if that to install the drivers and 2 days to get back (if that). today it's been 3 weeks since i bought the pc and i haven't clocked any hours of gameplay at all on it i haven't even watched any films on it yet i've just spent it on the phone to pcs trying to get the pc to the way it should be.

can you confirm that if i do send it back to get repaired?

mhm i help people without payment at times aswell. someone needs electrical help and i can see they really need help i'll do it without payment. i do appreciate the help but i'm just annoyed at everything right now as i've had nothing but problems and it doesn't seem to get better as it just turns into a different problem.

I feel your pain unweakened and I'm sorry to hear about this problem. Why not take a (very) deep breath and leave this for tonight. Have a sleep on it, go over this thread tomorrow and then decide.

Personally, I would give them one last go at this, and if everything is not perfect when you get it back, then take up Maestro's offer of a refund. What have you got to lose, as you would not have a PC anyway, as you would need time to sort another one out.

I'm sure Maestro and Gorman would take a personal interest in doing their best to ensure the PC comes back to you perfect next time.

Good luck with whatever you decide, but please, sleep on it mate.

Cheers.

I confirmed that in my previous post with the caveat that if you were not happy once it was returned that you could have an immediate refund.

It's more the fact that i dont want to give pcs another try because i can see them turning around and going well you've had it for a month now your not entitled for a refund. I've seen it happen and thats whats also annoying me.

But yeh i'm off for the night now. well i'm plugging in the old one so i can watch something

If i were you, i would leave it till the morning and think about the offer on the table.

What do you have to loose? You are being offered the option to return the pc, have it fixed to your satisfaction, and if your still not happy get a full refund.

Say you take the refund and use it to buy another pc straight away, you probably wont have it any sooner than you would have your repaired one back?

The delivery date isnt 100% up to pcs, my pc was dispatched and arrived at a depo 10 miles from my house by 9 am the next day, but it wasnt delivered by dhl untill the following day.

A bit harsh? They are probably using their free time to try and help.

Try getting this kind of service from a big faceless multi national, i tried once. Had a very similar experiance to yours but if their response had been half as good as this i would probablty never have found pcs.

ok, i just thought i read somewhere that the posts on the forums are not linked to the site at all and that only the returns team could issue a refund? ok nvm anyway, off now gotta drag the desk out and plug in the old pc.

they aren't "at work"

for what it's worth I think you should give the repair a shot, I've had a LOT of trouble with my PC in the last 12 months and yes it's very frustrating, but it looks/sounds to me like you've been couriered....

despite all the returns and delays I can't fault the customer service, if you think it's bad here try some of the competition  reading this it seems they're doing all that they can out of hours.

if i did get a refund i'd just upgrade my old rig and do it all myself. only myself to blame then if something goes wrong i mean my last one has lasted 6 years and is still going now i just wanted the stressfree and hasslefree way of gettign a new pc and as for the delivery it was meant to be a pre 10 deilver as i couldn't get any later was all agreed and then pcs booked it in for 24 hour anytime home delivery they even said themselves they had done it wrong when i spoke to them.

Having read through this thread I think it's very clear that if you send your pc back PCS will do everything they can to resolve the issues and return your pc in working order. The amount of time their employees have taken (astonishingly their own time) this evening to reassure you of this is service that cannot be bettered by any other company I have ever had dealings with. Mistakes happen. If you want to be angry with anyone then it ought to be DHL, not PCS.

I think both Gorman and Maestro have been more than patient with you this evening. I'm not sure I'd have managed that given the tone of your posts. (Yes you're upset but channel that anger appropriately rather than venting it at those who are trying to help you. I'm sure if you're civil you will be far more likely to get a good service than if you end up annoying them.) Having received a very well built machine from PCS and having seen the overwhelmingly positive feedback from other customers I am absolutely certain their employees take great pride in their work and would never knowingly send out a machine that was anything other than in perfect working order.

So.... in conclusion..... take a deep breath..... get your pc back to them tomorrow and let them get it sorted.

the competitions terrible too the only people i've found thats any good are dinopc really. but i didnt like the pc's they had.

DHL couriers are bad aswell when he first delivered the pc he attempted to literally roll it over the doorstep until i stopped him and asked him what he was doing? to which he just looked at me with a vague expression as if a £1200 pc with fragile handle with care on the box didnt meant throw it about.

You are absolutely correct on that, most posters on the forum don't have the "power" for lack of a better word to authorize such things or make those sort of calls. Maestro does, if he says that something is on offer then that's what will happen.

You haven’t seen it happen from us. No matter what retailers tell you, your statutory rights overrule anything that retailers may have in their terms and conditions. If your product becomes faulty within 6 months of purchase it is determined that the fault was inherent. In such a case if the retailer couldn’t correct the problem to the customers satisfaction then they would be perfectly entitled to a refund of the purchase price. I am also not sure why you have even suggested that we would try an trip you up with regard to a refund when i have clearly stated for all to see that if you are not happy when returned then you will get a refund. I will put that down to your frustration and the lateness of the hour.

the very fact that we are discussing this on an open forum should suggest some sort of moral compass.

yes they can be bad, with anything valuable/fragile get out of the door to them asap and don't let them do anything other than take it out of the van.

when my PC first arrived the driver parked on the road about 50m from my house and started to load all the boxes onto a trolley to wheel over a very rough track, he could have just driven down the track to my door
