With a small budget like yours id aim to squeeze out every last drop of it and maybe a little extra if you can manage.
Most if not everyone here (including me) are going to tell you to consider an AMD build instead and for good reason, AMD's "Ryzen" line of cpu's are way ahead of intel at the...
Yea his build is pretty much spot on, Id go with an SSD over HDD for the additional storage but that's just personal preference.
I've also noticed for an extra £1 there's the option of 3600MHz (16gb) ram rather than 3200. not sure how big of a difference it will make (if any) My build is still...
I'm no expert and i'm sure the more experienced will weigh in with much better solutions but here's one to play around with in the meantime
I think £1,700+ is a more realistic budget for what you need, especially if you want to future proof it. If its not needed right away I'd save to an £1,800...
Have a look at the following build...
- cpu/gpu/ram are the same
- changed to m.2 storage. Its gonna be much quicker to boot windows and load games but to stay under £900 it has to be 256GB
- changed the case the PCS SR is a cheaper alternative to the NZXT you've chosen, they look pretty much...
Hey all
I'm looking for a good 24 or 27" monitor to pair with my new build. Budget is anything up to £400
Build is a Ryzen 3600XT with a GTX 1660 Super, 16GB 3200 ram. B550 motherbord with m.2 NVMe & SSD storage.
It's gonna be used mainly for work (internet, MS office, and adobe apps)...
I'm no expert but here what I would do.
- 32gb is overkill, smaller ram but faster speed will be better so id lower that to 16gb 2666MHZ
- A B450 Motherboard will give you more port options
- Slightly better CPU & graphics (if she likes Junes Journey she'll probably transition into similar...
I like agent coopers build, but I would swap the case for a Corsair Icue 2220 and change the 1 TB HDD for a 1TB SSD
Works out to pretty much the same cost as above.
I'm no expert just personal preference.
Command & Conquer...now were talkin! I still have C&C generals on my old laptop which i play occasionally. classic game!
Anyway i'm no expert but nice build, only thing id suggest is upgrading your power supply at some point to a 550w (minimum) gold.
Enjoy your PC.
i would also consider this one
Case
PCS 3601 CASE
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six Core CPU (3.6GHz-4.25GHz/19MB CACHE/AM4)
Motherboard
ASUS® PRIME B450-PLUS (DDR4, USB 3.1, 6Gb/s) - RGB Ready!
Memory (RAM)
8GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2666MHz (2 x 4GB)
Graphics Card
1GB NVIDIA GEFORCE 710 -...
£600 wont be possible if you need keyboard and monitor.
£750 minimum would be more realistic. if you can stretch the extra £150 here's what i would consider.
Changes
- slightly better case & motherboard, gives you more room for future upgrades
- AMD Ryzen 5 - perfect for your needs
- Bigger...
Thanks a lot for the reply very much appreciated!
I was on the phone with PS earlier about upgrading the CPU he said its possible but demand for the 5600x in particular is gonna be insane and they get very limited quantities to start with. They cant give me a rough date on when i'll get one...
whats your budget? what games do you intend on playing?
posting the re config link will make it easier for people to edit your build to offer alternative suggestions...
I'm no expert but that looks like one serious high end gaming machine!
You'd need to invest in a decent monitor and maybe a bigger PSU [1000w] wouldn't hurt. Id also remove the anti virus
Other than that it looks great to me.
