Hi, I just noticed I'm missing Nvidia control panel in my brand new laptop. I got it earlier in the week, every game is working fine but sometimes I get a notification when starting up the laptop saying I need to download nvdia control panel from microsoft store. I need to use it because I'm...
Its in pre-production right now, spent like 3 days in processing. I'd assume it will get here in 4-5 days as the average time for laptop builds to get finished is 8-9 days.
Proteus, still waiting for it to arrive. I wanted 1440p and the vortex doesn't support that, so I'm getting a monitor. That means G-Sync on the laptop panel is not really that necessary and I really liked the design of the Proteus, it is also a little bit lighter and cheaper too.
Thanks for the advice, will keep that in mind. Genetics is wonderful but also filled with statistics which is one of the reasons for my purchase as well! Good luck with your course!
I do genetics. I take notes with the laptop aswell, it isn't the best way to memorize the content but I honestly can't write notes fast enough by hand because of the massive ammount of content. The only thing I can't have digitally is my lab coat and a pencil case, also some lab manuals that are...
I don't carry text books with me, only a lab coat and the laptop. I have all my books in the internet so my bag isn't really heavy, I can manage carrying the laptop around just fine, I don't even think they are that heavy anyways. I'm getting the Proteus, which is the lighter one and a 15'6...
I travel a lot and for long hours, also need the laptop with me during lectures. The original plan was a pc, but I have no space here and also I will move to a different place in a few months so transporting everything would be a hassle. I'm going to game on the laptop but will also buy a 1440p...
Hi, so I noticed there is a difference in pricing when it comes to the RTX 2070 of these models:
Chassis & Display
Proteus Series: 15.6" Matte Full HD 144Hz 72% NTSC LED Widescreen (1920x1080)
Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™ i7 Six Core Processor 9750H (2.6GHz, 4.5GHz Turbo)
Memory (RAM)

Recently I've been lurking in the forums and in youtube to maximize my chances of buying a decent computer. I was initially going to acquire a desktop from PCS but decided not to due to how much space I currently have available, I'm also worried because I move around a lot and transporting a big...
I really need a good CPU because I work a lot with data science, so I really want the R7. I'm considering buying the EG 27" QHD 144hz 1ms Gaming Monitor as it fits the budget nicely, the only issue is that it is out of stock for now so I'll have to wait until the 9th to order it. Maybe there are...
Not sure, but I done a little more research and found this one: Acer KG271Ubmiippx 27 Inch WQHD Gaming Monitor, Black (TN Panel, FreeSync, 1ms, ZeroFrame, DP, HDMI).
Cheaper, definitly has free-sync and 1440p 144Hz.
Yeah the 2060 SUPER seems more like a better deal for my case, I was just concerned with future proofing the computer since I'm not really going to buy another pc for at least half a decade, I used to have a GTX 980 and an i7 4970k from 2015 and it lasted pretty well for ultra at 1080p 60Hz. I...
Thanks for the help! I'm doing some research on AMD processors right now, they seem to be a lot better than intel right now so I'm going with a ryzen 7 3700X. I'm not really sure about changing to a 2060, still considering it though.
The VR kit is for next year along with the 1440p monitor, 4K isn't really ideal because of the low refresh rate and high prices. I don't really know how much I'll be spending on them since it will take some time. Right now I'm looking for a decent 1080p 100+ Hz monitor for around 170 pounds.
I'm planning on buying a 1080p 144Hz monitor for now, but I plan to expand to either a 1440p 144Hz monitor or a 4k 60Hz one. I'm also interested in VR.
Hi! I'm planning on buying a new computer but I'm not sure if this build is viable, I have a basic understanding of PC building and want to keep a budget of around 1200 pounds. I need a good processor like this one because I love strategy games and they are CPU intensive (mostly paradox...
