    PCSPECIALIST Another tea sale

Know the feeling. Currently have about 110 caddies and still a couple of bags of tea, as well as a few teacakes/bricks and some hand sewn flowering tea balls. A few varieties of Matcha as well but tea is not a compulsion:)

    PCSPECIALIST Homemade Chilli

I vary, sometimes will enjoy a Vindaloo but then go through a phase of milder stuff. Spicey food needs a good chef, very hot and tasty is fine but I find some hot stuff becomes bitter as well and you lose all nice flavours. Made a mistake once, had not been out for a curry for months and...

    PCSPECIALIST Homemade Chilli

Quite like fairly spicey stuff but not in the range of an old friend from cricket. The aptly named Cookie, lived well into his 90s and seemingly on a diet of rough cider and the hottest dishes we could get. Remember a match at Edgbaston, as we were in Birmingham Cookie wanted a Phal as it is...

    PCSPECIALIST Thoughts on my build

Certainly agree about storage. I have only had a couple of drives fail over the years but it does happen, so prefer to spread my data load over a few, also double back up everything. NAS is a good way but external USB drives are fine and worth checking Amazon for sales, have picked up some...

POMELO NEWSFLASH . . . The ones currently in Lidl are Honey Pomelos, nice but not quite as good as the ones from the normal Pomelo season.

    PCSPECIALIST Belated Intro

John who owns the Station in Larbert is a Malt lover and there are easily 300 different Whiskeys in the bar. Can be a bit pricey though, one is £75 a dram, although cheap compared to the Gleneagles price for the same, £235. John does not get many dumb American golfers in though, so probably...

Alice Cooper had a place in Fremantle and did a local radio show for a while, some of my family have seen him out and about. Said he is not that recognisable off stage so can lead a fairly normal life when he wants. The area he has a house is interesting as it is now the most expensive real...

To me the likes of Twitbook, Facer and all the anti-social media sites are the zenith of celebrity culture, just there for people to show off and become "famous" for exposing themselves in public or saying words like bottom before the watershed on BBC. Fora like this are good for me because I...

    PCSPECIALIST Go to ingredients

I eat more fish than meat these days and find most recipes that have chicken also work well with Monkfish, Anglerfish in some places. With no bones, a solid flesh that does not flake and strong flavour it is very versatile. Goes great in a Thai Green curry.

Ditto for the music, having the Ramones sandwiched between a couple of opera arias is interesting. Was lucky to see James Brown's on his final tour. Great performer and had a lot of respect for him, he accepted his age and did not try to act like a young man but the stuff he could still do...

Mushrooms are a real favourite for me, put them in almost everything. Have a few other things that are fairly regular as well. Tahini, love the nutty flavour and there is always a bit that sticks to the spoon so you have to suck it clean:) Basil, especially fresh, a good herb in most dishes...

    PCSPECIALIST Bread

Update on mushroom bread, it is even better after about 24 hours as the mushroom taste gets stronger as the loaf settles.

No help on build but depending what he wants to do with music it may be worth dual-booting with Ubuntu Studio. It is free and has a low latency kernel which is much better for music production. There is also a lot of good free and open source music software.

    PCSPECIALIST Chelsea anyone...

I have very fond memories of Perranporth, was there in 1966 on a slightly famous day. My grandfather had a GEC wireless set, as they were called in those days, by the end of the final I think everyone else on the beach had joined us.

Have enjoyed all of those, especially Cullen Skink. Pre match at Arbroath always at Tutties Neuk, great fish supper there. In the old days before Gayfield was done up the teams changed there. Never forget one trip, Tutties was fully booked for the food part so a few of the lads went for a cheap...

    PCSPECIALIST Chelsea anyone...

Like the sound of that. Brown's who supply the football club do a nice chicken madras pie. That said, Scotland has a seemingly unending variety of great pies. Macaroni pie is rather nice and if you are ever in Arbroath FC, the Steak and Black pudding pie more than makes up for freezing to death...
