I doubt the RAM would be any good, unless it is an exact match it will not work with the RAM in the new machine. Not sure how many drive slots the Elima has but one option is to get USB caddies, they are quite cheap, and run your old drives from them.

It is a real oddity that model, I have put various distros on eight PCS machines machines and never had a complete failure. Some have been a bit tricky but that was a couple of years back, most of the time it all goes smoothly now.

If all is fine testing takes less than a day but if the find anything it will be fixed then laptop testing again, so times can vary.

Not sure but seem to remember a thread where the poster bought same RAM but then found a slight voltage difference, that is worth checking.
