If youve got a copy of win7 on cd then that's fine, just make sure you can find your product key!

With regard to the homeplugs, they are extremely easy to set up, and they work very well, I would definitely recommend them over the standard pci card.

if you have a product key all you need to do is select no os but ring pcs and tell them you have your own product key, they will install windows 7 for you but you will need to enter your key when you first set up the pc at your home.

To set up homeplugs, plug one into a wall socket at your PC & one into a wall socket where your router is.
connect homeplugs to router & pc with ethernet cables.
do you have an OEM version of windows or retail,
if you have an OEM it cant be installed on another PC,
If it is retail you can only use it on one PC at a time,
you will need to do a clean install with this as the product ID
of the Windows OEM OS installed by PCS might not accept the product key of your retail version.
Alternatively you could ask PCS if they will install the windows retail version you have
if you send it to them.

Dear Vanthus,
If I choose homeplugs, do I need to choose the 2nd option (2x 200 mbps Homeplug AV)? you mentioned that I need to connect one on a wall socket and one where the router is. Would I still have a choice of using a wired connection from my router to the pc with this option?
Thanks for your help.

Yes you would have the option of wired.

And yes, you need to select the 2 x homeplugs (the £38 one)

Well, if you can use wired ethernet you wont need homeplugs.

dont bother with any homeplugs or wirless just select the base that doesnt increase price and wire it straight to the motherboard cant get any better.

A couple of things :) ! I would strongly recommend getting an SSD as the boot drive over the seagate. They are so much faster! Also, I would recommend dropping the cpu cooler one notch as that one is a beast and could affect the side fans on the case however, am not really sure precisely so you will have to get another opinion on the cooler. Overall, looks like a very powerful pc, enjoy it!

The SSD 120 GB would cost £68 extra, I am still undecided since it seems quite expensive given the capacity eventhough it is faster. I am not sure about the cooler, I'll try to email pcspecialist to confirm it is a suitable cooler for the case/fans. Thanks for pointing that out.

Believe me, the SSD really is worth it! Failing that, a 2TB Caviar black will be faster than those two drives. Also, I'd suggest getting a SATA 6GB/s SSD. You really won't need that cooler, you could save money there to fund the SSD. Soundcard and wifi card could be dropped as well to get funds, if you don't need the wifi card, don't get it. The onboard sound is very good so you probably don't need the card.

If he wants to o/c he should upgrade the CPU to the k version.

Ok, you sold me the SSD. I am changing it for 120 GB SSD. I wasn't aware that the onboard sound provided was good, I am looking for good definition in audio. I have emailed PCs regarding the cooler for advice/suggestions. I have also taken away the wireless card since the router will be connected next to the pc. I was surprised by the ease provided on the site when choosing to amend your order, now I am tempted to upgrade for the GTX 590, so many choices!

ok i thought you were looking at the 2600k if your not overclocking then the tripple copper will be ample cooling.

I contacted PCs and they indicated that the issue with the fan should have being picked up by the system, when seeking help in "live support" I was told it depends on the size of the case but that is all so I am still not sure on the cooler.
