You will need to do a full clean install especially if there was some sort of virus, you'll need a USB drive (of at least 8GB in size)
You can download the installation media from here onto a USB drive: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10 (if its Win11 I'm sure there is...
Normally I think the monitor would come in a separate box/delivery (though normally at the same time)
But yes I'd give PCS a call to double check on the monitor and presuming you mean the power cable for the PC if it isn't there tell them about that as well - I presume you did check in the...
Could you go an have a look at the drives it shows you have and see if it shows there.
From a quick Google they may be shown in Advanced Mode/Settings/Sata AND RST Configuration (or something like that)
I'm wondering whether the drive has just gone pop.
I was quite happy to get mine through PCS and which ever one they sent me as then their warranty covers all the bits of my PC, mine seems to be perfectly fine and does the job I need it to with no issues - personally I never bother to really compare against other variants of the same model as...
The NVidia card that is not stated with a brand is normally one of Zotac, Palit or Gigabyte, though not guaranteed.
PCS get a selection of those ones normally so it will be whatever is at the top of the pile when its time for your build.
My 770 from PCS was a Palit and still worked fine when I...
I would suggest doing the clean Windows install again and just using Windows update and the NVidia website for your driver updates ie. dont install the driver update tool
If the BSOD's still happen then it should be looked into further
When you say a driver update, was that just using Windows Update and/or the relevant manufacturers websites (eg NVidia) - or was it some 'tool' that claims it can sort out all your drivers for you.
If it was some 'tool' that claims it can sort out all your drivers for you, that may well be the...
Just as a note, my GTX1070 card from PCS was a Zotac, it worked perfectly fine til I retired it last year by which time it was 5 years old and it only got retired cos I wanted something beefier :) - it still works afaik
ie. I had absolutely no problems and its lived well past its warranty
To be honest at this rate I'll probably wait til the new year anyways (ie not buying a PC just before Christmas) as it'll be better for me then anyway, by which time Raptor Lake should be out so I can compare :)
Rakk is now happy about deciding to wait and not get a 12th Gen Intel, is looking at numbers and grinning :) (my wallet may not be but that's another thing entirely)
Yes you can perfectly happily do a clean install of Windows on it, you would then also have to install stuff like iCue and other software, but these things are all easily downloadable from the internet anyway - PCS do not put anything special on it to make it work, but it is worth noting what...
If you could let us know your budget, what you'll be using the PC for and what monitor(s) you're planning on using then I'm sure people can give advice on your spec
Though you have chosen quite an old CPU that is soon going to be 2 generations old and paired it with a work station GPU, so yes...
