I agree, DPD are great in my area, and I love the fact I can be big brother and watch online where they are. Which on Wednesday I was pleased with when they delivered my PC.
I saw them online pull into the carpark (live in sort of a cul de sac, blocks of small flats) so went to window and saw...
Interesting, I've got 3 different game codes for my PC too, and the AMD one (FarCry6) expires this Saturday... as I just received my PC, I don't have the time this week to set it up etc until the weekend. I really hope I can extend the deadline for it too as I might not manage to redeem the code...
On the back of your machine you have 3 monitor connections:
#1 = VGA
#2 = DVI
#3 = HDMI
What connections do you have on the back of your Monitor?
I would suggest (cable permitting) you try the other connections if possible. Be sure that in between doing each one you switch off the PC...
My PC arrived on Wed, with no GPU and that didn't have any packing inside, so maybe they only put packing on the inside when there is a GPU in there to stop it moving... If you had packing in there, you couldn't take that photo - it would look like someone has shoved a pillow in the machine...
Good question. My PC (with no GPU) went into testing on build on monday, tested, QC'd and dispatched - all on the same day. DPS picked it up tuesday, and it arrived here Wednesday. Just waiting for the weekend now before I have time to even turn it on (friday after work).
Hi Both, Exactly, I expect it's all working just fine when it leaves PCS, the only thing we can't count on is the "middle man" DPD/fedex etc. All we can do is hope, and then if any issues no matter how miner, and even if we can fix them -- report it to PCS.
That's a very good question, but unfortunately I can't answer it. It will probably depend on the rest of the system you have, e.g. PSU, MoBo and if they are in stock or not, if you're still waiting for a 3080 /70/90 card, then that is the reason.
Thanks, yea, I thought I might be waiting a little longer for the 5900x or the 1000w psu - if my 1080 is ok, at least I could get the pc set up ready for a 3080 in x months.
Just an update from me... After receiving the email about the 3080's I decided on friday to REMOVE it from my order and go with NO GPU and for now I'll put in my 1080 from my dead pc (I "think" the gpu is ok...hope so)... Anyway, this morning I got an email that it went into building, tested...
Hmm... but shouldn't Testing and then QA check everything is working, even a fan that isn't seen as a priority, along with any temps on the cpu to make sure the AIO is working too.
Sorry to hear this, it sounds like the same issue I had with my 8 year old PC last November, and thus buying a new one from PCS. The PSU, GPU etc all powers up just fine, but any fans on the MoBo don't work (and thus the AIO doesn't either since that is powered by MoBo), no post LED lights, no...
DDU - Display Driver Uninstaller. Download from the below link. Reboot PC into SAFE mode, then run the uninstaller.

Around 7-8 minutes of this video, he explains how to use DDU to uninstall your drivers old driver, how to reboot into SAFE mode etc, Safe mode is the very basics of windows, no drivers, network etc are loaded, the bare minimum. If you're not in safe mode then just uninstalling drivers might...
I ordered 5900x and a 3080, and just removed the 3080 from my build on friday. I'm currently on about 41 days. I'm going to put my 1080 card in for now and order the 3080 later.
Which card are you looking at? If it's the nvidia 30's then check out the other threads for them. e.g. 3080 has about 60 working days wait at the moment.
All the above, but one suggestion would be for you to contact them and let them know what card you're putting in it, and ask them if they can place the power cables for the card in the correct position for you. Apparently they do a very good job of cable management, so would save you time...
Also, only 1x500gb drive? looking at the specs I'm guessing gaming or something, think you will need a 2nd drive for storage and use the SSDm.2 for windows boot up.
Can you also provide a link to the spec too, so others could edit it easier and recommend changes
Great. was hoping that was the answer, not had issues in the past with my win 8.1 pc when I swapped the card, but wasn't sure with win 10. Yep full clean driver installer will be done.
