I'm day 43 with a 5950x/6700 xt. I received an email just a moment ago that I'd like to share with you all. So this confirms the 5950x is back in stock:
"Hello, Thank you for getting in touch with us and for your patience with this reply.
I can confirm that your PC is getting its parts...
This is the conflicting information I got as well, 2 weeks ago. I was told there is no difference in waiting time between the 3060 ti I selected and the 3070 so I decided to keep with the 3060 ti. Then I read half a dozen members who were similar in waiting time to me getting building and...
I have to agree. I would never use a 550w PSU in a build like this. It leaves no room for the future, you're going to be at the top end of the load so the efficiency is lower too. 750-850w would be preferred.
This is what I did. I bought a Phanteks p600s from Overclockers and got them to send it to PCS. I did this when I first placed my order in early February. It's something worth considering, then you can get the case you want.
How many days have you been on pre-production? You've selected a 3080 video card which usually means a long wait. Some people have been waiting over 100 working days and still haven't had their PC enter the build stage. It's likely that case would be back in stock before you are allocated the...
Sorry I mistyped. What I mean is the PCS staff member said I'm in a good queue position to be allocated a 5950x providing the April shipment arrives and (here is the correction) "I, myself am hopeful that I will enter build soon"
I've just been on live chat and was told although no guarantee, there is a shipment of 5950x coming in the first week of April. I was also told that the processor is the only part I am waiting for. The PCS staff member said he is hopeful that I would be entering build soon, providing the 5950x...
Was it PCS staff who said this or forum members? It seems everytime I ask PCS on phone and live chat I get different answers. Some staff can give precise information while others simply say they don't know. Very conflicting.
There is a long wait for 3080s at the moment with some people waiting over 100 working days for their build. The 3070 (at least recently) has a much shorter wait time. The 3070 is much cheaper and a more sensible choice unless you want to game at 4k @144hz +. The 3070 Ti and 3080 Ti are...
When I switched from a 3060 ti to a 6700 xt gpu the price fell by £55. This is actually what I've done and waiting on. When I change the 3060 ti to the 6700 xt on your link, the price increased. I'm not sure what that is. I thought the 6700 xt was cheaper?
I'm 37 working days in. Apparently my gpu isn't the problem (6700 xt) it's the 5950 that's delaying things. I hope a large delivery comes soon so a big chunk of us can progress on.
