Yeah, agree. As much as the 5000X has a glass front, it's designed in such a way to allow the air to pass in through the sides of the glass anyway. Airflow tests have been very positive, it's a fantastic all around case and you won't have any issues.
An airflow edition will offer better...
Above is exactly what I would have recommended, the only slight thing for aesthetics that I would consider would be the H150i over the H115i. This is because the H150i is 360mm and has the same looking 3 fan setup as the case itself.
Paired with a good monitor and a small set of speakers it...
It might not be that straight forward, I can't see any supplier changing out an entire platform due to a CPU issue..... but if that becomes an option then it's definitely the way to go.
Be sure to come back next time you're looking for a new build :)
Those FPS levels are just snake oil for the most part. Good way to leverage some extra dosh out the gaming contingent.
I can't remember who it was (I have someone "zer0" in my head or something like that), in the test they were conducting one of those elite performed better on the 144hz panel...
As soon as it's on EA Play.... sure :ROFLMAO:
I played Fallen Order when Survivor was coming out, now that Outlaws is coming out Survivor has gone onto EA Play.
I don't care about playing the latest and greatest, but I have enjoyed both from the series so far.
F1 2023 just came on too so...
Best cooler PCS offer is the H150i. It's also a 360mm cooler but has a bit more pedigree than the PCS offering. It's the best performance you will get from the chip.
Editing a 4k video on it is going to get quite hot though, the chip will take care of itself while on a reasonable cooler though...
91°C when just gaming is incredibly high. That's the sort of maximum temperatures you should see when it's running at full chat, not on light gaming loads.
You really want to get a more purposeful cooler. Not sure who stated that the PCS 360mm cooler would be sufficient, I would hope no-one on...
Bit of a necro here but the game isn't new or anything.
Just completed Survivor after it was added to the EA Play pack. 63hrs for 100% completion! Man that was a slog! The story was easily 20+ hours, just when you think it's getting to the end it kicks off again.
On a hardware standpoint, I...
The Samsung 980 isn't a great drive. The layout of the drives is improved as well. The thinking is an OS drive (the 500GB one) that only houses the operating system and your main programs (no games). The 1TB drive would be for your simulation games. I have a dedicated 1TB drive just for MSFS...
Few changes below. Note that ultrawide and more-so Super Ultrawide are a real game changer for all sim racing and flying titles. The peripheral view is significantly increased. A number of people choose 3 monitors for this reason. I prefer to use VR as it gives another level of immersion again...
Hi there,
It's not far off what I would look for.
What monitor are you pairing the system with, and could you share the configurable link? Details below for guides and info etc.

Below would be a sensible build. To get it to the most powerful you would want to swap out the 4080 Super for the 4090. I wouldn't recommend this as it's £700 more for just a bit more performance. There will be new 50 series cards out soon, where the 5080 will be a sure thing to be far more...
If you're purchasing with finance and have no option but to opt for the PCS monitor lineup then the IIYAMA isn't too bad. If you can budget to purchase elsewhere then there are better circa £300-400 options available.
You're unlikely to ever notice a difference in something that you don't change.
You know we're onto something when most laptops now come with dual drive support. I had to pay a lot extra for that a number of years back.
4080 Super should be more than enough. The main consideration is that the 5080 is going to be more powerful than the 4090, so having £700 saved to splurge on it makes far more sense than to opt for the 4090 just now. It just depends how easy the money is to spend though, I couldn't part with the...
If you share your link we can have a look at the motherboard options. I'm not sure what the limitation is off the top of my head with Intel unfortunately.
I would get some advice on the build as a whole as Intel are most definitely best avoided at the moment, even before all the issues they were having they weren't a good choice.
If you want to get some advice have a read through what we look for to help out here ...
Few minor changes and I added the Silver warranty (A no brainer). Don't bother with 3rd party AV, the in-built defender is all you will want/need. Most others are intrusive and cause nothing but trouble with driver and network integration (not to mention they can be resource hogs and use you to...
