Have you tried running it without the antennae connected?could this mean it the wireless network card?

If it stays the same, your antennae are likely broken. If it drastically drops, it is likely an issue with the card hardware/software.not yet but that might work
I was thinking on those lines as well.............Yeah, i have a feeling the antennae weren’t connected. I made the same mistake some years ago 🤣

Can you take the antennae off and test the speed. Yours sound like a bit more of an issue, if you are getting 3mbps from a possible 900I'm having the same issue with the slow wifi, with the PC I got on Friday
I was connected to the 5Ghz network, but I was getting an average of 3.72mbps, but with my phone in the exact same spot I was getting 116.32mbps.
I read several posts over the weekend and did some of the suggested things, like:
- Uninstall and install the driver (I downloaded directly from Intel)
- Remove the card and checked the bios > advanced > onboard devices, but I couldn't find an indication of what could be the motherboard wifi card to enable it.
- Antennas are connected
I feel that is slightly better since I reinstalled the driver - I can connect to the 2GHz network, speed around 26mbps not great anyway, but the connection to the 5GHz network is very unstable, most of the times it's not even showing up in the list of networks and, when it does, I get latency error.
I'm not far from the router, only one room apart - although the door between is tick, its open. But nonetheless, I can connect to the wifi in the second floor of the house, so the signal strength is not an issue. I moved the PC to the living room, a few centimetres from the router and the speed was great (300mbps+) and when connected in the cable as well (900mbps+).
Brought the PC back to the room and the speed was capped by a great margin. I don't see any other solution then finding a better location for the PC perhaps, but I feel that the quality/reception of my antennas aren't great.
Note: I don't have Bullguard installed and this is my spec.
