Tbh I havent played Elite in a while, but agree the combat missions arent paying enough but if the Developers are planning the usual "Elite Nerf", then all that will happy is either the Opals/LTD's hotspots wont be anywhere near as plentiful as they now (until Monday), reduce the global buying...
Unfortunately they are nerfing the payment system in Elite, some might say for the better but personally they will just make everything so hard to earn credits and pay out a tiny bit more for combat missions.
I havent played it in ages, Deffo need to wash and polish my Imperial Cutter, ready...
Thanks for replying mate, totally forgot about the desktop CPU in a laptop thing... Oh yeah it takes off to 85-90 degrees under load but oddly the fans are never maxxed out, which I'm happy with.
Just thought i might tick over to 4.9 on a single core once lol, it's happy at 4.7 all cores so...
Ok, Ok, I know I'm probably in for a kicking here, but does anyone know why I never see any of my cores ever go above 4.7 GHz? Checked with CPUID, HWMonitor and even Task Manager and they all show ~4.6-4.7?
I've looked into the Bios and Control Center and it looks like it's setup to run single...

Deffo give each component a check to make sure everything is seated correctly before turning on
I dunno, been out sick for a few days and it's all kicked off...... where's my popcorn.
Anyhoo, I honestly cannot recall a time, ever, that a MOD has ever insisted that you have to buy X system. At the the end of the day if you want to buy a high PC but not ever use half of it's capacity, then...
Do you really need two monitors for an 8 year old? remove bullguard will save a little bit of money and the LED's. Have a look at this thread by one of the moderators and add your monitor. https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/desktop-building-guide-sept-2020.67892/

Technically you can upgrade that hammer to a "Sister" Sledgehammer, now if it aint fixed after hitting it with that, well it's probably broken for good
