What is your Max budget?
First reactions are you would ideally want to split your storage across two drives. If I were you I would have one 500GB drive for the OS and then a separate 1-2TB data drive for storage and programs.
My Valeon's speakers are pretty good and I am coming form an Asus Zephyrus Pro Duo which probably have the best speakers in class. I also find the simulated 3D sound for the Valeon excellent.
In all the years I have been on this site I must say this is the first time I've heard of this happening.
Try not to stress @SpyderTracks is correct when he says PCS customer support is generally excellent. They must have mixed your RMA up with someone else's.
Yes I mean in game benchmarks.
You can run fire strike but because it has dedicated physics benchmarking you will get a lower score due to turning the wattage down on the CPU. This won't really be reflective of real world performance.
It would be good if you could let us know what sort of...
Good god those power limits are high!!! God bless Intel, no wonder your laptop sounds like it is taking off!
So your PL states are the power levels supplied to your CPU.
PL1 = Normal processor state. This is the power limit for the CPU during its normal state.
PL2 = Boost state or as Intel...
Haha its not an argument it is a healthy debate.
That is a strong build but I would suggest a couple of slight differences:
I have changed your 1st M.2 drive to an EVO 980. Its a faster drive and as that's where you will have your OS installed it will provide the benefit.
I have upped your...
Your right it does but then you have a 1080p laptop with a 5900x, and a 3070. In my opinion that makes no sense at all.
It would be different if it was 1440p with a 3080.
For me the choice between a Destian and the Recoil is a no brainer. I Would go with the Recoil all day long for 3 key reasons.
1. The Destian Is huge
2. The Destian only comes with a 1080p panel (this would be my biggest reason)
3. A R9 5900HX, RTX 3070 Recoil will beat a 5600X, RTX 3070...
Ok so first thing to note those systems are both TongFang but don't let that worry you too much as they seem to have really upped their game since their last generation of laptops. I have owned one of each generation and from my personal experience their hardware is much better than it was.
My...
If you are happy playing games at 2K in very high settings PCS still have laptop options?
You would have to contact PCS to find out when they are expecting stock back in.
If you are set on 4K gaming and you have to have a laptop not a desktop then your best bet at a minimum is to wait for the full fat RTX 3080 chassis to come back into stock or even better see what happens when the RTX 3080TI chassis are released.
This is of course depending upon your budget.
Sorry this got missed and its such a late reply.
First of all its important to realise that gaming laptops tend to be loud when running games.
There are things we can do to try to optimize the heat generated and dissipation.
From what you have said your temperatures look fine.
Would you set...
