3.5" floppies mate :)
5.25" you only ever bought single sided, and then clipped the notch to turn them into double sided 😂
I couldn't afford a 5.25" floppy drive, my Commodore 64 had a cassette drive, talk about slow............... :ROFLMAO:
What was the max download speed of dial-up? I think I remember 512Kb/sec, but it was a long time ago.
We didn't even have CD's back then, so games, and other programs, were on floppy discs (plural). 1.44MB per disc.
MS DOS 6.2 was on 3 floppies, Windows 3.1 was on 6. I've still got the...
IF your case is standing on a hard surface, you could try putting thin soft rubber mat under its feet ???
Just had another thought. I was watching a Utube video from one of the on-line reviewer sites, probably Jay2c. He was unboxing AIOs from a top end maker. All of the fans in the boxs had 1...
Many years ago, they built a swimming pool in my village. A 4 lane competition pool.
2 years later we went metric, the pool was now too short, because 100 yards was changed to 100 metres.
True Story :)
I had too lie down as well
It wasn't easy finding anyone to make it, I don't have the tools or skills.
Several places wanted more, and it wouldn't be made to measure, just a standard size.
Other places just wouldn't. The cabinet maker never replied, and still hasn't.
Basically there...
I tried a local furniture maker who specialises in this sort of thing. For him to source and make it, I was expecting to pay something in the region of £1000+. However, beyond his initial call back I never got any replies from further enquiries, through phone calls (straight to "leave a message...
Absolutely.
I think it was probably the resolution, and also the upgraded GPU. But the detail that was missing in games on my small 1080 monitor, in comparison to this one, was amazing.
Using it for ordinary work type stuff, although it isn't quite wide enough for 2 full screens, it's close...
The monitor is great, the best one I've ever used.
Although, to be fair, those were all 1080p and smaller.
It's a big screen, clear, 1440p seems like a good resolution, but I thought the same of 1080p. If I got a 4K I'd say the same thing I expect
Perhaps a curved monitor would have been...
And here's a few shots of the (latest) final set up.
The plastic is off the glass panels of my Lian Li case at last. So @AgentCooper can breathe easily again.
(I shouldn't have to move it again, so there won't be much in the way of dirty finger marks to polish off)
Cable management was fairly...
Well, after quite a wait, due to being mucked around by a couple of companies I tried first, I've at last got myself a new computer desk. This is to replace the old Argos self assembly desk I bought at least 25 years ago. There's nothing wrong with it, but there just isn't enough space in and on...
I was in the Royal Corps of Signals, from '79 - '91, as a Combat Driver/Storeman. In the field I drove an ESV, a 4x4 Bedford truck with a big generator mounted on the front half of it's flatbed, and a 10' box mounted behind that. Inside the box was my office space and £1.5 million of solid state...
I think it's this tbf. When the game had to play, from installing off a CD. Games had to be delivered fully ready to go. Dial-up internet was so slow you could watch the lines of pixels in a photo coming through. So waiting for patches to download would be unacceptable.
Now, a patch downloads in...
As someone else tweeted, "O-Oh, a 6% failure, that'll be enough for 'The Media' to headline this as a total failure".
That isn't a direct quote of the tweet btw :)
I've also wondered about the 'open on a bench' testing method. But if everyone does it the same way, it's comparing like to like at least.
You compare AIO results against AIO results, and air cooler results against... As @Scott says, don't compare AIO against air cooler results, because the...
No, No! No need to apologise. Work is a nuisance, it really takes up drinking/gaming/other leasure pursuits, time. But to have the wherewithal for leasure, work has to be done.
I get the 'some websites work better...'.
I have Chrome purely for NHS Scotland video conferencing. Their software...
Which type???
There are several options,
Dyson V
Dyson Wash and Dry, probably only really an option if you have an open water-cooling system.
Dyson 9g
The old original, both sides of both hands together is probably a bit bulky :D
I think the 9g works quite well with a computer system...
Waterfox ???
I've heard of all the others, but not that one.
I've got Edge, obviously. Chrome because I need it for one partiular task, and Firefox as my default go-to for everything else.
I tried Safari and Opera, but preferred Firefox. And if I don't use it, it's removed.
I was a Netscape...
