Not at all PCS related, but DPD delivered my Firebox parcel yesterday which arrived 1 minute earlier than the slot they had given in the tracking details.

I am most displeased and will be writing a stern (if not abusive) letter to DPD demanding to know what the hell their driver was thinking being early!

they have had TEN HOURS (8am-6pm) to deliver my package and they have failed to deliver as of yet. it is still ''out-for-delivery''.

i have had the front door open all day, and made a point to never leave the house or go far enough away to not hear the doorbell. i have no idea how DPD managed to miss a 10 hour delivery period but they have :(

my package is now showing on track as 'at delivery depot'... :dots:

edit again: apparently (http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.dpd.co.uk) the drivers are out until 7pm to ensure delivery. 46 minutes for redemption :S

well they missed the 7pm slot too. very disappointed in DPD. didn't get a single SMS or Email update about anything happening with the order, other than 8am-6pm delivery slot.

ITS HERE! just as i posted that it wasn't a few minutes ago it turned up. it was a very busy day for DPD so the orders were delayed :D

Hopefully this will give others concerned about their deliveries hope and belief to hold on until the bitter end :D

quite. i must admit my **** was almost irredeemably lost at 7pm, but the poor driver somehow managed to still be happy after working almost 2 hours overtime with yet more deliveries to make. i had to cut him some slack for that. plus im very happy with my laptop :D

Well I have waited in all day for my blown up PC to be collected by DPD for return to PCS. I should have had someone here between 9-5pm with a txt 1 hour before they come so "I can plan my day" , its now nearly 6 , sorry but every experience ive ever had with DPD has been poor.

:EDIT: used the collection number given to me by PCS to track when my PC would be collected and I get "Cannot find details for parcel number"

Oh this gets better !!! PC blows up Courier fails to turn up and its Friday ..... Im not happy to say the least

DPD didn't make the pre 10am delivery so had to get onto PCS to enquire where the package was..after speaking to a rep online my order instantly updated and said it was out for delivery! Arrived about 20 minutes later...

Received another delivery from DPD recently.

They arrived within the alotted time period and the product was in perfect condition, just as the other three deliveries I have taken from them since I have been a PCS customer. No complaints here.

Waited in yet another day after they never showed up on Friday , DPD finaly show up at 5.05 pm , they collect my PC take it to the van and throw it on the floor behind the van .... quite simply disgusted by this 3rd rate delivery company and if I find my PC arrives at PCS damaged it will NOT be me paying for the damage.

VERY ANNOYED

Its bad news you've experienced bad service from DPD. I believe though (from my take of reading other threads) as long as you've used the original packaging your PC came in from PCS the transit shouldn't damage the PC. After all, its likely it was delivered by a DPD driver! Also if you have used the original packaging I would imagine you'll still be covered by PCS.

Hopefully it wont come to anything though and you'll get your PC back soon fully fixed!

not received a package from pcs yet, but have a few times from dpd so i guess ill share my experiences. I buy and sell on ebay ALOT and the 1st time i came across DPD was when i bought a golf set, the package was about 5 foot tall, It came to the day of delivery and no one turned up, no phone call, no nothing. So i got in touch with the seller and he promptly got back in touch with me telling me they have lost the package. I mean really? lol but anyway to the sellers credit he sent me anouther one out. It came to the delivery date once again waited in all day.... still didnt turn up. so the morning after i was planning to contact the buyer when suddenly around 8am ( i was asleep) my sister took delivery and when i got downstairs there where 2 golf sets and a small brown box with someone else's name and address on it. both the golf boxes where beat to **** .. torn, ripped.. and a vague attempt to try and rectify it with sellotape. Took alot of ringing around to get the mystery box picked back up and also the other golf set that belonged to the seller. the second time i got something from them it was delivered to a different address miles away and to the point of the driver realising that the house he went too didn't order a package, there wasn't enough time to get it to where i was.

Anyway, In all the years i have been buying and selling, i have never come across anyone as bad as DPD. They really are the worst delivery company out there in my opinion.

Unfortunately its the same for all couriers, they all have horror stories about deliveries, there is no perfect courier service, no matter which company you use there will always be people they let down horribly

DPD dropped off a retro computer monitor for me a few weeks ago.

Literally dropped it. As in smashed the casing and caused it not to work. An almost irreplaceable bit of kit.

If you send anything by DPD, be prepared to deal with a numpty driver and really absolutely do package your item in a paranoid way.

Also, they do the usual "nobody home" excuse for non-delivery when in fact they couldn't be bothered to find the address because it didn't show up on their satnav.

I bet if PCS did a delivery service it would be bang on 10/10! ;)

More than Impressed with the service DPD supplied when delivering my laptop!

Dispatched by PCS on 22.08.12. Shortly after this, I received a text informing me that it would be delivered on 23.08.12 (with the option to text back and change the delivery day if necessary). This morning (23.08.12) I received a text just after 0800h informing me that I should expect my package to deliver between 10:39 and 11:39... The driver arrived and delivered the laptop at 10:45 with absolutely no problems at all.

I also found the online tracking to be flawless, and it was updated to keep me informed every step of the way!

Absolute 5* service here, which I guess you should expect when spending this much money... Everything in terms of delivery was perfect, and I would recommend DPD to anyone!
