Well... My Vortex III got delivered just an hour ago. Even though I clearly stated on the notes to the courier "DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED", I found it lying at my back door. In fact I was in my living room watching TV and I heard him coming. He came to the back door, not the front door, put it down and walked away. By the time I ran out I only saw the vans ass. Now I go on DPD tracking, apparently I signed for it with my own name, while I did no such thing, I don't even see the delivery guy himself. They didn't even knock.

The product is intact and everything is in place, so thank you PCS for awesome packaging. But DPD deserves some really strong words for this. Leaving £1700 worth of machinery in the middle of an estate at the back door... You serious?!

Im so relieved you guys actually listen to your customers. How Yodel still opporate is beyond me. What a cowboy outfit they really are. I know alot of the problems are down the the local couriers and the monkeys they employ but seriously how do they always get it so wrong. Having said that Agitos experience above can happen with any courier. I'm a little surprised it happens with DPD so much though.

I'm half expecting my Tuesday delivery to end up being "delivery not possible, customer not home".

Delivery address is my works address, which isn't on SatNavs. Even Google Maps has difficulty with it.

DPD did find me once. Except they didn't, they contracted it out to a local idiot.

I have to commend DPD and Pc specialist on good service.

My laptop was very well packaged, no damage.

DPD had the tracking information available from later on in the day of dispatch, once it had arrived at the collection depot. I received confirmation that the package would be delivered the next day and was offered the options to reschedule over the next three days if required.

On the morning of delivery I had a txt message update providing a 1 hour time slot for delivery. I think it arrived 2 minutes in to the time slot.

Well done, nice to see it being done well

DPD is the best. Had a couple of deliveries from them before - all came within time and in great condition. Laptop also came on time (3 minutes into 1h time slot) and laptop box didn't have a scratch. Great service and nice tracking. ++

It will depend entirely on which mobile network you are using (I'm presuming you're using a mobile) and possibly what contract you are on as to how much the rate is per minute (try checking the website of the mobile provider you are using to see if you can find the charges for 08445 (or whatever it is) numbers)

I'm currently debating paying for a Saturday delivery (pc moved into Build today - yay!) as the Mrs has a slightly random schedule (plus asking her to wait in for it when she'd rather go out with the little one is akin to lion-wrangling...)

I had a laptop delivered by DPD earlier this year (Amazon purchase, not PCS), and it arrived in the middle of the time slot, mid-afternoon (left with a neighbour). I'm about an hour from the Newbury depot, I think.
