No, I'll try reinstalling Flash

Edit: It says
The installer will automatically continue when these conflicting applications are closed:

Steam

How do I close it when I don't have it open?

I never use Internet Explorer

That wasn't my question. You seem to have a problem that could be caused by your browser, so using a different browser, even one you don't normally use, would be a good way of proving whether it's your browser causing the issue or something else.

So... does it happen with IE?

:)

I don't understand your question if that wasn't what you were asking :confused:

For the video problem, I logged on to this forum on IE, tried the youtube links and they just keep loading. Nothing happens.

Still have the same problem after reinstalling Flash player

So it's not likely to be your browser then. It's useful to be able to eliminate that. :)

I would suspect the graphics driver next I think, you might try uninstalling and reinstalling that?

GPU driver
I deleted and reinstalled it from the disc and got the message Application Install: install package failure!

I scoured the net to find the answer someone said to try downloading it from the website, so I did and it worked fine.

But now I can't watch any video

I understand your frustrated, but please don't use profanities (even with *'s).

I'd always use the web to find the latest drivers as opposed to trying to use a CD that came with the PC if you can. Although now your drivers are back, you should be able to watch videos. Can you watch video files from your computer as opposed to from the web.

So can you watch 'any' videos from youtube on 'youtube' itself? Or is it only videos you have watched in the past?

From the link smoke posted - a solution was suggested (copied and pasted below); Source: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3960083#3960083

If you look at Northern_dutchman's post.

Open REGEDIT

* Find the following key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\application/x-shockwave-flash

* Delete the key

* Re-install flash

* Problem solved

Note the OP goes into more detail and will be worth looking at should that fail.

Out of interest, does it just seem to be 'this forum' (ie can you view videos on other websites/forums/etc.)

how about running IE with no addons

Click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and click Internet Explorer no Add-ons.

Just in case there is an extension ro add on blocking them
