I tried this before I saw your post.

I deleted the data

I can't do the second bit because I don't know where the settings are on Firefox.


I've also found out that I can watch videos if I'm not signed in on my account. BUT I still can't watch embedded videos, even if I click the title and I get referred back to Youtube

Your computer has multiple accounts and one account will allow videos which I will assume has administration rights and yours does not?

Is that correct?

So when your signed out of Google account it works fine.

But.

When your signed in you cannot.

Perhaps some sort of privacy or parental setting. Let me go look at mine and see.

If you goto youtube.com there is an option at the bottom called "SAFETY" is it on or off.

If its on it may be stopping sensitive videos.

Also are you using either

FVD Downloaded or Add Blocker?

Yes that's right.

I was getting annoyed at signing in to my Youtube account because I had two Youtube accounts for some reason. I tried to delete Google+ account, BUT I deleted the whole lot!!

I had to create a new Gmail account which annoyed me a hell of a lot because I got rid of some emails which were important.

FVD Downloaded Its an extension that you use in firefox that lets you download videos that are streaming

and

Add Blocker Stops Adverts which i've noticed sometimes prevents youtube videos from playing.

Just checked Youtube signed in and out of my acount on my dad's computer and I don't have any problems.

There must be something in my settings which is causing me not to see the videos. I'm fed up of this now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shockwave Flash and Adobe Flash are the same plugin,it's normal for the "add ons" to show "shockwave flash" you still have adobe flash player installed.
