Not sure, it doesn't mention deleting flash at all so I guess just delete the reg key then reinstall flash (or repair depending on the option you are presented with).

Ok

Edit: Is the key a long number such as {Q36GH5W-WH47-15rg-63B2-444420582229} ?

Edit 2 : Is the file name called CLSID ?

I'd have been tempted to delete the entire thing. You are re-installing flash so any issues it would cause should be fixed when you re-install.

Do note, deleting the wrong thing in the registry can completely brick your entire machine, or at least what ever thing you're trying to change, so be very careful about deleting registry entries.
I haven't read the post that was linked, but if its not clear exactly what should be deleted from the post then I'd probably not delete it :)

It didn't work.

To be honest, I'm not that bothered about it really. If it isn't simple to fix, then I'm just not going to bother with it.

But I don't know why it's starting to do this when I've had it since November

Once in a while when I'm on youtube I click on a video and the page for that video keeps refreshing it's page. I need it sorting.

Edit: Does ActiveX have anything to do with it? Should I update it?
I have Adobe Flash Player9 ActiveX

Now that I've deleted this HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\application/x-shockwave-flash and reinstalled Flash, It isn't there any more

YYEEESSS After all that. I've successfully succeeded in viewing embedded videos on the forum.

I restarted Firefox !

I'll let you all know if I still have a problem.
