Is this the latest SimCity you are talking about? If it is the code will be tied to the origin account you redeemed it on, nothing to do with the PC.

There is indeed. Just in the settings afaik. At work so obviously haven't got it on here, but I am pretty sure it is in there, because I don't have it loaded on Start up (unlike Steam, which does, because I like Steam, and Steam likes me, sometimes a bit too much, but generally it's cool).

These "gaming platforms" are here to stay, so may as well embrace them if you want to play the game that they are required for. Even if there are workarounds, you are sure to hit snags eventually, so just get em installed and you'll be fine.

I went out and left the game to download. I come back. Start game and continue where I left off. Thought I might put the graphics settings a little higher, and I get a blue screen crash dump. It restarted the computer.

From what you've said on this thread about it happening before in the past I would be inclined to think it could be a hardware problem. As Watchdogs is particularly demanding in its current state it might be crashing the system due to an underlying stability issue.

I wrote something a lot better than this but Firefox crashed on me for no reason whatsoever......Oh well......

Anyway.....


I've updated the GPU driver.

Would the blue screen appear because of the high GPU temperature?

Update:

I had to begin a new game because my saves are messed up and it keeps asking me between a save game on the hard drive and a save game using the cloud.

When I reach the loading screen, after it's loaded I just get a blank screen, but I can pause the game and I can see the menu??????

Just pressed Tab and Alt to come out of the game and the GPU temp was at 84ºC.

I've given up playing the game. I got the blue screen again, maybe it can't handle it. Think I'll wait til I get a PS4.

I reinstalled Origin for SimCity, but the game isn't on Origin as I deleted it. I tried inputting the code a couple of months ago and it didn't work as I'd already used the code. Just deleted the game off my pc.

Are you sure its not tied to a different account? Maybe you could contact EA about this, should be able to give them the code and they can work out whats happened and maybe offer you a new code
