    PCSPECIALIST INCOMING!!!

To be honest at this rate I'll probably wait til the new year anyways (ie not buying a PC just before Christmas) as it'll be better for me then anyway, by which time Raptor Lake should be out so I can compare :)

    PCSPECIALIST INCOMING!!!

Rakk is now happy about deciding to wait and not get a 12th Gen Intel, is looking at numbers and grinning :) (my wallet may not be but that's another thing entirely)

    PCSPECIALIST INCOMING!!!

Damnit, I think that's when I have a week booked off work, don't think a new PC would turn up before I'd have to go back to work, dammit dammit!!!!!

PCSPECIALIST Might be a stupid question..

Yes you can perfectly happily do a clean install of Windows on it, you would then also have to install stuff like iCue and other software, but these things are all easily downloadable from the internet anyway - PCS do not put anything special on it to make it work, but it is worth noting what...

PCSPECIALIST Can anyone give me a hand please

If you could let us know your budget, what you'll be using the PC for and what monitor(s) you're planning on using then I'm sure people can give advice on your spec Though you have chosen quite an old CPU that is soon going to be 2 generations old and paired it with a work station GPU, so yes...

    PCSPECIALIST Lagging

Just as an FYI, I removed the image which shows your Windows license key, as you really don't want to be showing that :)

PCSPECIALIST So… You Won The Lottery…

OMG, Point Blank, I remember playing that donkeys years ago on the PS1, was awesome :) (yes I do have that PS1 still) To be honest I live on my own so would only need a slightly bigger house to have my perfect setup anyways, my gaming room is my main living room - so my kitchen is only 10 foot...

PCSPECIALIST Loss of water in liquid series setup

How old is the system? PCS do recommend sending it into them for a service every 1-2 years where they will refill it and doublecheck all the fittings and stuff (its a specific service for the Liquid Series machines) If its not even a year old I'd give PCS a call anyways as I wouldn't think...

PCSPECIALIST Trouble posting on pcspecialist Discord server

I can see you are a 'member' of the server but do not have the 'Member' Role - which means you can't post (I'm presuming you used the same name) If you do have phone verification and did indeed click the correct emoji (as instructed) to be able to post, please let me know and I'll see if I can...

Have you got phone verification set up for your Discord account, its now required on there after some particularly annoying trolls caused chaos (a few times)

PCSPECIALIST "C:" and "D:" drive missing

Your best bet will be to do a full clean install, rather than trying to clear up whatever mess has been caused IMO (you will need a USB stick - at least 8GB in size) You can download Windows here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10, and follow the instructions how to...

PCSPECIALIST CPU overheats on start up

From what I've heard they are not notorious for failing (yes I did actually ask some of the guys working at PCS a little while back) and they do not fail more often, it may not have been suitable for the CPU it was trying to cool, but then they're at the cheaper price point for a reason.

    PCSPECIALIST Farewell, Internet Explorer…

Think the last time I used IE was at work before we decided to stop supporting IE with our product so we had to test our dev work using it (cos none of the browsers worked the stinking same way .....)

PCSPECIALIST Advice on upgrading new motherboard and PSU

Please note that these forums are for PCSpecialist (who sell custom built PCs and laptops) so we cant advise on competitor builds or self-builds at all. But what I will say it that you're replacing stuff like mobo, ram and PSU, it's probably worth just getting a new PC and then adding in your...

PCSPECIALIST Decisions, decisions - Intel or AMD

Thanks guys, I think you just confirmed what I was thinking anyways, with the AMD release being pretty close and actually in sight with dates set it'd be silly not to wait (and oooo that clock boost) Willing to see any other opinions though :) I've been with Intel since 2007, change is a-coming!

PCSPECIALIST Decisions, decisions - Intel or AMD

So, I had a plan, an awesome plan! My next new PC was planned for about late June/July - I had most of it planned in my head and it included either the i5-12600k or the i7-2700k And then, last week, the AMD stuff was announced --- goddammit, they look nice ...... mutter, mutter, grumble...

PCSPECIALIST Burned graphic card? not show display (SOUND)

To be honest a spark and a funny burning smell means something is not going to work anymore. But you should NEVER connect anything something directly to the mobo whilst it is turned on, and this includes adding power cables to anything connected to said motherboard (cos whilst it wasn't powered...
